- In this video, I am going to explain what is the day to day routine tasks of DevOps admin Team. What is their role in an organization?
TO DO LIST OF A DevOps Engineer
Checking Email
Checking alerts
Checking JIRA / Any ticketing tool for pending/scheduled tasks.
Clear Notifications of alerting system.
Ensure if any new server is created and monitoring has been set up on that.
Verify if all the service running on that server are covered under the monitoring system.
Check and automate if any server is running out of disk.
Taking a backup of instance and restoring if required.
Taking a backup of Prod DB and providing that DB to developers on Staging / Testing Environment for testing of any issue.
Automation setup for daily tasks like (DB/Instance/Logs/Config-Files) backup.
In case of new project setting up new Jenkins Job. ( FreeStyle / Pipeline).
Making config changes on servers using (Ansible /chef/ puppet).
Writing playbooks for automating daily tasks.
Deploying code on Development and Production servers.
Ensuring that post-deployment sanity of code is done and proper sign-offs are given.
Seeking for approvals from (Business/QA/UAT and Security Sign-offs).
Providing assistance during Audits.
Ensuring that access on servers are given to required users only that’s too after proper approvals.

Sir i started in a company as system engineer but work is not technical it doesn't include linux or anything like that. I know linux(RHCE) and if i want to get into aws or devops feild how i can i start studying and how to get interview call from companies.

in product based yes. In service based - not necessary.
Yes we need a daily activities on linux, aws in the part of devops

Are the Devops engineers paid well compared to developers and testers?
Yes for sure... Without any doubt
@@ServerGyan actually the thing is I have worked on all the tools.. And setup my own pipelines for workflow events, but haven't worked on a live project and want to move into Devops as in a career, what do u suggest here as many expect experienced candidates and I'am not sure to what extent I can bluff over based on technical knowledge of a tool...

It can be configured but resources crunch will be there...
