Maybe G2 would have done better if they advertised more and had a cartoon like all the other MLP generations.

These toys did not sell very well, ending G2 in 1999.
Yeah. G2 ended in the US in 1999, but continued in Europe until mid-2003. The PC game didn’t do well either.
