Voyages au Ladakh - Accroché aux massifs himalayens du nord de l'Inde, le Ladakh, ou "pays des cols", terre tourmentée, ce monde minéral et glacial, est le fruit de l'immense soulèvement des terrains en place provoqué par le déplacement des plaques continentales. Situé à une altitude qui va de 3000 à 6000 mètres, le voyageur évolue dans des paysages qui semblent figés par le froid. L'hiver, la température descend fréquemment à moins 40°. Le Ladakh est traversé du sud-est au nord-ouest par le fleuve Indus. Ces vallées inhospitalières sont restées pendant longtemps inaccessibles, car difficiles à traverser. Le Ladakh est aussi une région d'une grande importance stratégique. Il touche le Tibet....

its nostalgic, with some clips of our school, i was a student there. i noticed that the school cap in this video was blue which was later changed to red and blue, keeping this in mind this video seems to be from early 2000s. once again thank you for uploading this video, and for giving a clear image to some of our unclear core memories.

amazingly shot footage , stands testimony to a time when Leh had its splendor and beauty , now its all regressing with urbanisation , and communal politics , pollution has also seeped it's roots in , thank you so much for uploading this , reminds me of the Leh I grew up in .
