Great stuff, Clyde pretty much at the peak of his powers here. simply sensational.

***** Glide's passing was his most underrated asset. Just look at him run the break ~4:03. He takes it to the teeth of the defense, draws in multiple defenders, and then dumps it off to his teammate, last second, for an easy and uncontested layup. That's playmaking right there.

Then the media compared him to MJ... ugh...

Clyde was absolutely incredible. Top 5 SG of all time. Easy.

If only clyde played like this in game 6 in 91 vs the lakers

I think Clyde realized that which is why he exploded in this game.

Clyde played great. Cliff Robinson Choked a Fast Break at the End of Game 6.

If Drexler had a guy like Hakeem in his prime he would have led his team to many more finals in the 80’s.

Especially since Portland tried to trade up to get Hakeem in 1984. Clyde and Hakeem in their primes together would have been SICK

The additions of Danny Ainge and Buck Williams brought the Blazers from an athletic .500 team to 61 win title contenders

Wrote a long ass post here, Camundo, but accidentally closed the tab. Uuuugh. It was a good one. Basic gist was that I have this game as well, but the LA feed with Chick. This game was on 4/29/92, the night the LA Riots began. The Forum mgmnt went on the jumbo tron to inform people that traffic was going to be diverted to the nearest freeway exit. I recall they didn't tell them actually what was happening outside, but they didn't want the white folk in the audience to know that Reginald Denny got beaten to within an inch of his life. They had to move the closeout gm to Vegas, which is a traditional Lakers market. I also mentioned the difference between this game in 92 and the series just one year prior. Looks totally different, even the floor was new. Magic retired and Threatt in his place. From an outside perspective the 91 Blazers blew it pretty badly that year. I remember Gm 3 and 4 in LA looking like old Showtime wins. In Gm 6, people remember Magic rolling out the clock and they remember Jordan shrugging in 92, but they forget Cliff dropping the pass by Kersey for a wide open dunk to go up by 1. Giant mistake. RIP Jerome, btw. Good guy. He was in LA in 97, the year Shaq came on. He was like your guys' AC Green.

Clyde the is underrated for 80’s and 90’s. If Clyde playing in NBA nowadays he is NBA superstar like Lebron James.

    • @hainavidotcom
      @hainavidotcom ปีที่แล้ว +1

He was a superstar then, if he played now? The glide would crush it even more. All these yesterday players would gain the upper hand due to they know how to play the game better fundamentally. Just look at the top 3 players who are foreign today. They're the best in the game tops. Clyde is just underrated on topics of being the 3rd best sg ever behind MJ and Kobe. I put Wade right after Clyde.

Superstar now????Lol he was the man in the 80s it’s just hard to be the biggest star when MJ exists 🤣🤣🤣

One thing to understand about this era. Every point on the floor is actually earned! They don't sit back and drop 3s all night like they do now. Most of Clyde's points were in the paint, running to the basket. He'd drop some 3's now and then but players would really earn those points.

This must have been right before the LA Riots. I believe Game 4 was played in Las Vegas.

I’ll never understand the people that underrate Clyde as being so far inferior than Jordan. Of course Jordan is the GOAT but people scoffing at the comparison would have you thinking he was some bench scrub

Game 1 of this Series was in Vegas because of the LA Riots.

It’s a nationally televised game. There wouldn’t be the team announcers broadcasting. The TNT announcers are working.

Not the broadcasters - I am referring to the Public Address Announcer Lawrence Tanter
