Jackson Hole was one of the best trips I've ever had, I skied 100,000 vertical feet in 1 week. Fresh powder every day up to our knees, the timing of night snowfall couldnt of been better, snowed at nigt, with clear days, the snow God was with us. Super fast trams let you get in numerous runs on the steep stuff, epic trip. Still hoping to do a heli-ski trip, its on my bucket list. Skiing virgin powder and catching a tube surfing is a spiritual experience with nature, no feeling like it on Earth. Let's all work to recycle and get our planet cleaned up. Let's force polluting corporations to take responsibility and figure ways to not destroy our fragile planet. Sorry to get political, but Iv'e had the opportunity to enjoy certain outdoor sports my whole life, my desire is that future generations have the same experience with their families for generations to come !!
My first day, years ago, my friends and I were disappointed that we had only made seven runs from the tram in an entire day. Then we figured out the vertical. Felt pretty good after that.
Drew rockin' the Salomon Shift bindings. Just got them for my Q98's and couldn't be more impressed. Salomon should cut me a check because I'm always evangelizing their gear, but somehow the money only goes one way....
I put in 25 million vertical feet during my time in Jackson Hole during the late 70's and early 80's. There were days when the mountain was virtually empty and hip-deep in fluff. I also put in a million vertical in the back country with High Mountains Heli-skiing. I made the first tracks from the summit of Jackson Peak down the s-shaped chute you can see from Snow King. No longer accessible even by helicopter. All in all, the really is no place like the Big One. Sad the guy in the video didn't get it from the start. Better late than never.
