Another year, another John Carpenter cover. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
The Fog is another great film from the master, with a cracking score to boot.
Full of moody tension and synthesized dread in Carpenter's signature style, with a little help from the great Dan Wyman. I hope you enjoy my renditions in this medley of classic themes.

John Carpenter greatest horror film maker of all time. The Thing is my favorite sci-fi movie ever. Michael is in a class of his own when it comes to horror. I'm him every Halloween. I'm almost 50 and keep it going so the kids will never forget The Shape
One of Carpenters best film scores. Utterly brilliant. Great job by the way.
Agree 100%%%%%%%%
This is a superb cover! Really well done
Couldn't resist doing an animation to go with your cover tune of this on my own you tube channel. I have a music background and this is the best cover I have heard of this tune and I'm old enough to have been at the opening night of this movie back in 1980, lol. I donated to your coffee fund Scott, good luck with the channel
Amazing job John would be very proud would love to have this as a intro to one of our bands songs with your credits for playing it . great work
I can't stop to watch this video... ❤
Excellent job
This is such a repetitive song, but it's so nice sounding I'm fine with it. Awesome job as well, you beautifully replicated his original song
That’s what drives me to Carpenter’s movies and scores. The way he’s able to use a simple motif so effectively just astounds me. Even if it gets repetitive it still works with the feeling of the movie. Carpenter’s one of my favorite film scorers and directors.
This is definitely a treat, not a trick. Thanks for making our day.
One of my favorite movies of all time. Bravo!!!
Badass cover.
I really like your cover of The Fog, it's super scary.
you catched it for 100%. Like the original theme. Brilliant!
Encore! Bravo! Phenomenal job! I hope you don't mind that I shared this amazing performance with others! Thank you for sharing your cover of this hauntingly tragic theme with us! :) I wish I could learn the piano music for this movie.
Utterly incredible
Another brilliant rendition!
Boy oh boy that had POWER!!! :O Happy Halloween!! Awesome work!! :D
Thank you! Cheers!
@@ScottAmpleford You're welcome! :)
Excellent work
Amazing job !
Wonderful
I like this so much!!
Pretty cool this is ,amazing dude
Excellent Remix Man!!!
That was AWESOME!
Thanks :)
Love it🖤 always hear about special effects talked about in scary movies - but I’m mostly moved by the music
Great job!
How did you make the little "drum" beat in the back ground?
Thanks!
That’s all modular, if memory serves you’re hearing the “chirp” of a self oscillating filter.
Part of it reminds me of Moskau by Dschinghis Khan
Im on a strange random TH-cam playlist that brought me here. Last thing was man of steel...
Anyways, those old horror themes are really great!
fucking fantastiiic
Good cover! What did you use for piano?
Just Logic’s in-built Steinway sample :)
what sounds do you use to make the fog theme
There’s a full list of instruments both in the video description and in the credits at the end of the video
Eleven fifty five...
and what instruments
Reminds me of resident evil and world war Z combined
Never realised how much Harold faltermeyer ripped off the fog theme for Running Man - Bakersfield theme
You should also check out Harold Faltermeyer's opening soundtrack for 'Beverly Hills Cop II' - very similar to "The Duke Arrives / Barricade" in 'Escape from New York'.
@@nithindominickoshy I just listened to the whole album, I never had before, it's all very John Carpenter'y huh.
Thanks for the recommendation, good call.
