Das my bro!!! Jesse Puente!! Such a great experience to attend that event back in 2015. I got to see my old school bmx bros and meet new ones. I flew in from Hawaii to view a VW bus prior to this event but was busy that whole weekend because I was hanging out with friends in Cali. But right after the One Love jam.... I ended up buying that VW bus and drove it to Las Vegas because I had no where else to leave it when I bought it. Lol. I was supposed to ship the VW bus back to Hawaii but because of complications it wasn't gonna work out. Long story short.... I ended up and decided to move back to Las Vegas a month or so later. 🙂🤙
Pretty cool seeing riders from 3 different eras in the same place.
it's amazing how much freestyle has evolved. I remember in the 80's when 20X1.75 tires was the standard, now it's 20 x2.X. Fat ass tires. Intergrated headsets? Mid bottom brackets? No brakes? What you talking about Willis?! I'm happy to see that the sport is still happenin'. The love is still there. Enjoy it brothers! Eventually we all age....physically.
Yeah I was able to do tail whips, scuffing but nothing like these guy's. I ended up getting ran over when i was 16 just riding down the sidewalk casually, never got back into it though I'll still ride my preformer on occasion.
Honestly... I think this would make a great Olympic Sport.
These guys could totally ride Helltrack! Seriously, the amount of skill that flatland requires is off the map!
80s and 90s trick is still the best
What's awesome is these guys aren't 16 years old anymore, but still killing it.

me too. in the 80's/90's I used to do decades, tailwhips, lawnmower, 180 bunnyhops, and rock walk etc...old skool style, but ya, All this sh!t right here is beyond words.
I love watching flatland with vintage bikes like the 1986 haro's or 86 kuwaharas or GT pro performers etc... those bikes are way.......nicer than the bikes in this vid. Wish guys with skills like this would make a flatland vid using a vintage bike. I'd watch it over and over again.
I prefer the racing bikes like Redlines Hutch PR

To do those tricks with no brakes shows some serious balance, and control of that bike. Great job guys. As an old school rider I'll stick to both sets of brakes. ;-)

I thought that some of this stuff looks like it was animated with SFM, and it's made half of the tricks as funny as they are impressive and surreal.
Seriously, that shit at 1:21 looks like his legs glitched out, clipped through to the opposite side of his bike, and made him start spontaneously spinning. I've never before seen life imitating video games and I goddamn love it.

This is amazing...why dont street riders incorporate this into their runs?
Most flatland tricks unfortuanally don't combine well with the "quick hit/combo" style of modern street riding.
But there are riders combining both.
Sam Jones for example is a street rider that sometimes puts flatland tricks in his lines.
Check out "DOOMED - CHAPTER ONE" by Dig BMX Official and skip to 12:00 to see a crazy edit of Sam Jones.
Also, Matthias Dandois sometimes combines his flatland riding with street elements.
Joe Jarvis is also a street rider that puts some flatland influence in his lines sometimes.

Spotted your comment 4 years too late. They dislike the video because they're jealous and incapable of doing this. Instead, they are a bunch of lazy lot whose life depends on drugs. Sad really. In my drug-less days we had more fun with bicycles, skateboard and marbles, or just play hide and seek, making every kid on the block happy. Today... drugs drugs, score score. No rest for the wicked. ☹

Rad. I'm oldschool but this is proof you don't need platforms or other gimmicks to tear it up. Pegs and a low tooth sprocket and you're good to go.

I remember back in 2000 I wanted to do flatland and bought a GT Show made in the U.S. Still have that bad boy. GT frames and parts are collectables (The ones that used to be made in the U.S) Now GT is made in korea or other Asian country.
