The pokemon also known as Pocket Monsters in Japan, is a Japanese media franchise managed by The pokemon Company, a company founded by Nintendo, Game Freak, and Creatures. The franchise was created by Satoshi Tajiri in 1995, and is centered on fictional creatures called pokemon which humans, known as pokemon trainers which are featured on this pokemon champion rap cypher , catch and train to battle each other for sport. Games, shows and other works within the franchise are set in the Pokémon universe. The English slogan for the franchise is "Gotta Catch 'Em All".
The franchise began as Pocket Monsters: Red and Green (later released outside of Japan as Pokémon Red and Blue), a pair of video games for the original Game Boy handheld system that were developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo in February 1996. Most underrated line has to be the line from Diantha "You'll get a Trick and a treat." Because the move 'Trick' swaps your held item with your opponent's held item. So if you use Trick, they get a treat.

Not only the bars. The beats paying homage to the original game, having different styles including singing and yet fit in the cypher, and I love the back and forth between Steven and Wallace, Alder and Iris.
I really wish the concept of bars were more well known in Japan...
Rap doesn't really work in Japanese given that songs don't usually rhyme, and rhyming is usually reserved for wordplay.

I think it was pretty consistently fire throughout. Quality never dropped, but if I'm being honest I prefer Blue and Cynthia's verse to Kikui and Leon.

Leon: Has hype, but the bars feel a bit weaker and less meaningful then the other champions.

I agree but with Diantha I think it's a good amount of calm it's kinda' canon to the character more but that's my opinion. Good review!

Damn I'm really not seeing anyone talking about Trickywi as Diantha. First time I've heard her and goddamn did she leave a good first impression!
She was cool but a slight let down for me. Hoped she would be like Chi-Chi but not really. Just ok.
Her voice was monotone in a bad way after she started actually rapping imo.
I feel like she was trying to keep a similar tone throughout, keeping this gentle yet also intimidating style to match the fact she’s both a star and a champion. It worked for me. One of my favorites, but that’s my opinion

Trickywi as Diantha: Damn that was the most... enchanting rap verse I have ever heard, and I have heard a lot. Frankly, the rap music genre as a whole could use more voices like theirs, considering how most rappers, especially nowadays, think that rhyming or screaming at the top of their lungs is all there is to it. By complete contrast, Trickywi's verse is calm, slow, and frankly, just plain magic.
I 100% agree with you here. Shelbi has made some original songs before that have a mystical/enchanting aura to them, but nerdcore rap can easily use more people like her. I don’t know if she’s put out anything recently, but here, she is living proof that (nerdcore) rap can use more elegant/cutesy/slow-paced rappers.
