For the solar panels, in order for them to work you have to turn off the regular generator. That being said, though, you're going to need a LOT of batteries for it. Once you make the piece that uses the Inverter, you can set that up on your normal generator and it'll automatically turn it on and off as needed.

Oi! I remember you complain about all the trash laying around your base. There IS a mod called something like "collect anything" from Braven which will let you tidy up the place if you so wish.
And P.S. I saw you dismantled a TV remote, you'll need that to make that generator failsafe for the generator, just saying since TV remotes are semi-unique.
