Oh I miss this more in Poland. Back, in 80"s there was only diesels engines (russian mostly) and simple free flight and CL kits made from spruce and ply covered with package paper. But it was so fun!! Now, most modellars buying foam electric planes, almost no traditional builders here...But Im one of them ;-) Wish you many sunny days on field! Best regards from "old time" Poland! Marcin
Excellent video Mark. Did see you at the show, really value the work you do covering the many aspects of this amazing hobby. You've inspired me to build
Anybody spot the fast moving object traveling from the 12 to 6 position to the left of the planes wing, at about 2 :00 mins in.? Not the aircraft in the distance flying from right to left.
Pleased you found it interesting. As I am sure you will appreciate models rarely fly right straight off the building board. I know several people who were flying a model for the first time and trying to get it trimmed correctly. Often engines are dialled back on the power during these flights so they are not lost. Others as you say were probably under powered and badly trimmed, but its all a learning curve where people are trying new things and experimenting, its not supposed to to be a showcase of flying, just a fun couple of days.
Went there for the Scale flying. Spent my time watching these guys and the carrier deck c/l blokes. Wonderful. Hope we're here next year. Thanks
Pleased you enjoyed it, certainly a great event
Thanks Mark. Just marvelous to see enthusiasts doing exactly the same thing on the other side of the world!
Glad you enjoyed it, appreciate the comment 😀

Thanks 👍It was a great weekend's flying, pleased you enjoyed the video
Fine video Mark. I particularly liked the flight of the well-patched model at 13.48. Some of the free fight models were seriously out of trim mind!
Thank you, pleased you enjoyed it 😀
Great video!!
Glad you enjoyed it
Looks like a wonderful day. I was intrigued by the diamond-winged design - can anyone identify it? (could be next build!)
@@richardsmith5641 thank you, pleased you enjoyed the video. Is this the design you are thinking of? outerzone.co.uk/plan_details.asp?ID=3711
I can smell the diesel just watching.
Hahahaha, arhh you cant beat it!
Does anyone know what the blue plane is in the first few minutes of the video?

Interesting to watch but so many were not properly balanced and flew under power in a series of Stalls.

Good to see model aircraft building and flying, but now sadly a shadow of its former self due to interference by 'Big BRother'
