Something I never noticed before watching this, but the reason the boys have crazy ideas is because Hal does too. Hal and Lois can get mad at the boys, but rewatching this show it's clear they get it from Hal.
They actually tell that in the second season. When louis tells francis that hal used to be just like them. And thats where they get it from. They actually spell it out.

To be honest, when I first watched Breaking Bad I thought I wouldn't be able to take him seriously either since I grew up with Malcolm in the Middle. I was proven wrong so quickly and I can't think of a better man for the job.

Walt was a great character to watch in breaking bad but Hal made me and the wife belly laugh at the end of a day's work, which helped on more days on one so for me , Hal is the man.

It wasn’t Walter white that really made Bryan Cranston’s talents shine, it was seeing the comparison and transition as an actor between a character like Hal and a character like Walter White that made it so much more epic
There is a weird poetry about the music video looking sequences. It adds a ton of flavor to some very iconic scenes, i think of the show as very well presented and these are no exceptions.

H: "Yes, but you can't guarantee that I wouldn't go to the police afterward, and I will definitely be searched for. The money buys my silence on the matter." I wish I got to see Hal’s reaction when he found out that Lois saw the baby shuffleboards game. I’m sure he screamed and would say “Lois… I-- I was just-- We were…” and then he would turn to the other fathers saying “I told you this was not something nice to play with the children. Shame on all of you." And then Lois would say “We saw you cheering, Hal, and then claiming the money while calling them all losers.” Then Hal would say “…I was acting.” And then Lois would say “Honey, you’re gonna wish you were Jaime right now because you’re not gonna like what I have in store for you.”
The dad/baby contest is the most wholesome shit, imagine how much better society would be if parents had more fun with their obligations. I know theyre gambling but that's pretty much always gonna be common place, if it inspires bonding it's still beat the hell out of all the negligent single parent households.
