    When clipping the corners, could you do a demo? Not 100% sure of how to do that.

    Thanks for the info on the fusible grid. I have sewn individual scrappy blocks together but they are unruly and can get wonky. I have made a couple of Mondo bags with their fusible grids, so I can see how this would be beneficial in larger quilt projects.

    If this came in triangles, you could use two layers of fabric plus this interfacing as a guide to make half square triangles jiffy quick!

    How does this product feel when the quilt is complete? Is there a noticeable difference in the softness? I am using it now on small 1.5 unfinished HSTs but will eventually have to sew those 9 patch units to another block.

    • @thequiltedforest
      @thequiltedforest  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They will be soft. It will add a little bit of weight, but not enough to worry about. It's not hard. And the more you handle the quilt, or wash it, the softer it will be. With a finished project you most likely won't even know it's there.

    😱😱😱. The idea of using blocks instead of just plain squares! Brilliant.

    What is color wash?

    • @thequiltedforest
      @thequiltedforest  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      To go from one color to another. Sort of fading from one shade of color to a different color. Gradually changing colors from one part of the quilt to another, one piece or section at a time.

    Can you do a video actually clipping the corners? That would have been helpful in this video. If you would actually done that, because I've never seen this procedure before. And I would be a little leery about clipping corners. if I haven't seen it done before.

    • @thequiltedforest
      @thequiltedforest  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I am planning to re-do that video at some point, but I don't know when as of now. In the meantime, have confidence that you can clip as shown in this video (which is about a 1/2" cut through the stitching on each line on the grid). This makes it much easier to fold the fabric so you can sew the seam going the other direction. Hope this helps. Happy Quilting!!!

    I only started quilting in September '22, with 5 lap quilts under my belt, 3 easy plain block and 2 qayg. I am sitting here wondering why this isn't more widely known, is it taboo to use this product or something? It seems to be the easiest and most logical way to do these types of blocks perfectly. I stumbled on Ten Sisters stuff and then started researching this technique and found all kinds of products, etc. Speaking from a newbie point of view, you could make some really nice quilt patterns with it, not just scrappy. Tfs!
