I love how, unlike all the other regions in the game so far where only the playable characters wore elaborate, decorative clothes and most of the NPCs wore very generic clothes, Fontainian NPCs wear super distinct, stylish outfits that are only slightly less batshit insane than the outfits worn by most of the playable and soon to be playable Fontaine characters.
In short: they are just french

Yeah , I arrive at the port of Fontaine and the first thing that greets me is a Dog that made me so happy, for a couple of reasons
1. "Aww a doggo!"
2." And it's a new type/breed of dog.

Fontaine is downright, my favourite region so far! It has an extremely interesting story, loveable characters, and a unique visual style!

I still prefer sumeru. Granted love the swimming and having too much fun with that.
Tbh each new regions does need to somewhat out do the previous ones though.
Of all the creature underwater , i think the small crab is the cutest , they don't attack you , look at you with cute eyes , when you approach them they try to run away , sometimes holding their little small shield up a little bit.
When they hold still they look side to side and blink and it is so frickin cute
The fact that there’s a chef named sanguinetti, lasagna is shown as a fontanian dish and navia’s organization is called spina di rosula,but italian and french people have always beefs is so hilarious to me

I’m French and Fontaine is not solely based on France, it also take parts things from other parts of Europe

@@darnit1944 yup, Corsican is an Italo-Dalmatian language (AKA a sister dialect to modern day Italian, it's closer to Italian an all that) that's spoken in the French Island of Corsica.
Why is an Italo language spoken in a French island? Well, it used to be a Genoan island (which was a republic in what's now Italy) until around the mid 1700's when the French conquered it. They actually still spoke Italian, along with Corsican, until the 19th century if I remeber right.
I also thought that the Opera Epiclese structure Is a guillotine, which make sense cuz it's a tribunal court where people judge other, along with furina which resemble a lot the old french kings
Also, if you go to the guillotine monument and use elemental sight, you'll notice that the circular platform below it lights up, despite not being interactable. Something DEFINITELY'S gonna happen there before the end of Fontaine's archon quest.

my speculation is that it's probably an execution site, it was mentioned briefly early on that there seemed to be execution sentences in fontaine but it rarely happens

The fact that Childe said that there is a death penalty in Fontaine but it has never been used before combined with the existence of that building makes me believe someone is gonna really really die in the last act.

god the animals in fontaine feel more animated and fun compared to the other regions
Sumeru was definitely the testing ground for more interesting creatures like the big cats, the crocodiles, and the sumpter beasts, or even the tucans and scorpions.
Fontaine NPC already have more details than early 4 stars like Chongyun.
They need that Amber treatment; a skin that is basically the same clothes but updated with richer textures
@@biazacha there are also rumours that Charlotte and Lynette are the first ones to use a new teen female body with more pixels.. other than the textures of their skins so should the first characters' polygons
@@biazacha They only gave updated Outfits to Amber, Jean, Rosaria and Mona since Feminists in China complained to Mihoyo how their Characters are designed (they would show to much Skin and such Stuff) and even went to the Chinese Government with it, so Mihoyo did the bare Minimum to fulfill the government's requests and shut up the feminists.. if i remember they tried to push for more Changes but were silenced.
Also, every other Server got the Choice to choose between the old Outfit and the new ones, while Chinese Player sadly didnt got the Chance, they had to remove the old Outfits for those 4 entirely.. they also used those Outfits since then for every Single Scene you can see them ingame.

In general, he has a strict traditional design that is very suitable for a hereditary exorcist. Not all characters need to be wearing feathers. Chongyun has a beautiful design and I prefer him to flashy and bright characters

I do think indeed that the last image is a guillotine. I mean, after finishing chapter 2 of the archon quest, I believe it's not far-fetched for them. I think one of the melusine aquabus tourguides tell us about that on one of the lines while passing by it.
