- This year, I wanted to make sure that I visited FLL while the airport was still single runway ops. This was also my first time visiting FLL's Airport park , The Greenbelt , which honestly blew me away. With prior spotting trips to FLL, My vantage point was always on top of the Hibiscus garage. With a day full of heavies and and newcomers (Jetblue's A321 Neo), The variety and amount of traffic kept me just as interested as if I was planespotting at MIA.
There's over 50 different movements in this video.
Note: Please forgive me for the audio. I was a complete idiot and plugged my external mic into the camera's headphone jack instead of the mic in, which made the camera default to using it's internal mic.
All in all, I hope this video is entertaining and gives you a reason to spot at FLL.

FLL before the pandemic had a big variety, now it’s just Spirit and sometimes jetBlue

Where exactly is this aircraft viewing area? I didn’t even know they had one for the south runway. My family and I would always go to the Ron Gardner Aircraft viewing area to view the planes on the north runway, but it’s under construction now, along with that runway.

Love FLL. I work at the nearby FXE. Quite a few busy airports in such a small area: MIA, TMB, OPF, HWO, FLL, FXE, PMP, BCT...ETC.

At the time, Spirit had 3 different liveries in service at the same time. So what you saw is a part from one livery being put on a plane with a different livery.
Plus I've been to FLL Last Year in March is like a mini Caribbean Destination within South Florida all the time.

Weird that the brand colours of the Southwest plane to Orlando differ from the other Southwest planes.

when did freeport airport re-open Is it hard to get to the greenbelt spotting place are there hotels within walking distance might plan a trip to FLL to fly on a 757 again
1) Traffic was able to start getting in about a week after the storm, but only. GA, relief flights and local traffic are flying in and out. No airlines yet.
2) The closest hotel I noticed is about a mile west, unless you stay at an airbnb in the neighborhood across the road from the Greenbelt. Granted, there is a parking lot as well.
Any idea when 10L/28R is expected to be completed?
