Wow …. I just updated my firmware in my z6 and its eye autofocus is so fast and the focus box in eye looks so accurate and box size is so small like they have in Sony/Canon. Kudos to Nikon z6 team for improving autofocus. So happy to see this update. I am loving it !!! Go Nikon
On the "Changes from "C" Firmware Version 3.31 to 3.40 page, Nikon has deleted the improvements in the eye detection performance Wide-area AF (L). That means something, maybe a 3.41 version awaits us in the future.
Hi, thanks for the video. Regarding the new 3.4 firmware I didn't see any improvements in the eye detection performance Wide-area AF (L). I hope Nikon can update this firmware soon
I think the wide area L has been a misprint or someone forgot to add the code in. It certainly feels a bit snappier than before, and others are reporting the same. Only Nikon will know for certain what they have done.
I didn’t even know it did eye detection in wide area L.. so is it like the z6ii where it will only look for the eye in a box? Ive only ever used auto area af

Good spot Joaquim 👍🏻
Or it could mean that there is a FW update coming for the Z6ii which already has this feature? I certainly hope so 👍🏻
My Z6 is as good as my Z6ii in tracking far away subjects with smaller AF points, but not as fast because the later has 2 chips. Thanks Nikon!!!!
its good for all of us. this was a bit of a bonus.

@@AshBashSneakers hi, it stil doesn’t do a box in wide area af. I think it’s a typo.
