  • 12th year fishing the Kewaunee Door County Salmon tournament with my Dad and Uncle. Did catch my personal best king salmon on this adventure. Fun times hanging out with old friends and meeting some new fishing buds.

    Nick, cherish the smile on your Dads face with that 300 copper. I recently lost my Dad and wish I could see that smile just one more time.

      Will do. I noticed that big grin while editing the video. These adventures are a lot more than just fishing. Sorry for your loss

    Great video as usual. Your uncle is right if you started in 2007 its 13 years counting this one. Sorry to see the older gents retiring but hopefully the new crew will be as good. Congrats on the personal best.

    We find ballyhoo holds up better then herring for cut bait.. sometimes catch two or three fish. Herring change every time

      Yeah no problem... we just got sick and tired of getting those there and gone bites particularly on the divers and having to change cut bait every time

    • @NoFishNicksAdventures

    Awesome vid. I was out of sturgeon bay and only got a couple 20s and a 26.75 pounder. I noticed you have a wire dipsy rod without roller guides. Was wondering if you could do a tutorial on how to set that up.

    • @NoFishNicksAdventures
      @NoFishNicksAdventures  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Its a JR's wire dipsy rod with tungsten guides. Not sure if they are available anymore? I'll look into it. Thanks

    Nick - can I get your dad and uncles phone numbers - I want to beg them to fish one more KD with you. There is something special about the energy you guys generate in the boat. Good luck and tight lines!!!

    Beautiful Lund boat. Love how you have it set up for fishing. Which style of Lund do you have?

    • @NoFishNicksAdventures
      @NoFishNicksAdventures  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Doug, mine is a ProV and Cody's is a Sport Angler. The sport angler has a better layout for this type of fishing (trolling) and the ProV is better for casting and jigging.

    those not tangle nets are the worst for salmon or trolling in general. they drag and are heavy. best to use the cheap green ones they cut right through the water and net fish way easily
