Super cute cards. Your scenes bring so much life to the stamped images. Ah, I see…..re-stamping….that is BRILLIANT! That makes gouache a whole lot more stamping friendly.
What an absolutely fabulous set of cards, talk about a match made in heaven, CCC stamps and your painting! For someone who has only recently started with gouache you are already a master, you have a rare talent to get the best out of every medium and technique you turn your hand to. Great tip to use the palette knife to scoop the paint, I have wasted so much paint over the years doing it with a brush! And great idea to paint in the Misti so you can keep re stamping. Thank you for sharing an awesome video ❤😘.
I've been on the fence with trying out Gouache until this video. Your use of the Anita Jeram stamps to feature the Gouache techniques tipped me off the fence. Thanks Sandy for a great video!
I have never considered painting with guache. I only have white after watching your videos. This speaks to the I look I like for cards, so I have something to consider. I appreciate the way you expand our media horions!
What fabulous cards! I love your art and creativity. Signed up for the gouche class and so excited! Bummed I found the ‘Celebrate’ coupon code too late though.
Love this new release! As always, I'm in awe of your amazing scenes and how you create them. I love your idea of leaving the painting in the Misti so that you can go back to stamping the image whenever you felt it was necessary.
Thank you so much for showing me the benefit of using gouache over watercolor. I do a lot of card making but I have been using watercolor to color my cards. It looks artistic but the card stock has trouble holding up to the water used in watercolor. It really looks like the gouache requires less water so it won’t warp and pull the base card. I will definitely give this a go since I have gouache that I use in my Chinese brush paintings on rice paper. Thank you, thank you! I am really enjoying your diverse instruction since I also love anything creative in art. We apparently do not stay in “one lane” only.
Is it important to transfer gouache paint from its tube into a palette for storage? I have an old set of watercolor tubes that dried out in their tubes, and I don't think I can get the paint out. Wondering if gouache could do the same.
This technique shown uses gouache, you wouldn't need to stamp and restamp with watercolor this way. Separately-- you need not palette gouache or watercolor. Squeeze out a little blob to paint with onto a white surface like a plate or tile...rewet both anytime for re-use. If I can't squeeze out paint anyway, I cut open the back side of a tube and get it out that way. Getting some out is better than tossing a mostly-dry tube. 👌🏻
Great gouache ideas!!! A question - I believe you mentioned you are using water soluable gouache. Is water soluable better over traditional acrylic gouache?
me encanta waw
Even your commercial is lovely...
Wow! Stunning cards! Love watching you create!

Such wonderful art... Thank you for sharing.
I’m very excited about this class! Making a list for payday!
What a great technique! Leaving it in the Misti is a big game changer; you are so clever!
Thank you! Cheers!
Waiting for you to begin 😊

I'm not all that smart, I just got frustrated at washing so much paint down the drain from all the rinsing! lol.....
Love your scenes! And these stamps!
You are amazing!! Love love everything you do thank you❤

Awesome as always Sandy, and very cute stamps ❤
What adorable images - colorized so beautifully by you!!!
Btw I’m in Australia
Is the Dorland's Wax Medium a permanent hard coverage product for the paint - or, is it just a very thin coverage to make the paint shiny? Thank you.
It’s not “hard” per se. It’s to make it waterproof.

Do you use workable fixative between layers at all? I love the technique btw!
No not at all
Great gouache ideas!!!

Water soluble is actually the traditional kind 👍🏻 Acryla gouache is a mix, and drying the way it does wastes a lot of paint imho.
@@SandyAllnock1 Ok. A bit late for me now...I just bought a 12 pack of acryla gouache. First time here 😊 Thank you so much!
