This is my twenty fourth 787 model and my fifth Boeing Company model.
I pre-ordered this from eztoys.com
The Boeing 787 Dreamliner is one of the most noticeable and efficient aircraft flying today. It was the pioneer and a big step forward in engineering with the use of composites being the primary material in the airframe. Its need came at a time as Boeing’s 767’s were ageing and becoming less efficient and was the direct replacement for the 767 family. The 787 works alongside the 777 in some areas for compatibility and common type ratings.
The key external features which differentiate and help with the overall efficiency include flexed wings, raked wing-tips, and chevrons on the rear of the engine nacelles, as well as a big upgrade to the internal electrical flight systems.
There are 3 variants the 787-8, -9, and -10, each of which has the option to use the General Electric GEnx-1B or Rolls Royce Trent 1000.

The Dreamliner has such unique Wings and I'm also happy this is a JC Wings, they're my favorite.

I've actually flown on a Boeing 787-9 for the very first time with Norwegian on August 10th from Copenhagen to Boston. A great experience flying on a brand new plane (which was exactly 1 year old at the time) with all its great features that I've never seen before.
Very nice. Their a quiet and stable aircraft to fly on which can sometimes be a nice break for an avgeek.

Good to see you back! I took my British Airways 787-9 gears off and I just use the gear doors. I guess it’s personal preference
I really like them on as I feel it adds more value to the model.

Woo hoo ! Welcome back, can't wait to see more upcoming model reviews soon. Have you heard about a campaign named "Bring our birds home" where someone is trying to save and preserve 5 airframes that used to operate for New Air Zealand back in the day. The airframes (with registrations) are a DC8 (ZK-NZC), DC10 (ZK-NZS) , 737-200 (ZK-NQC), 747-400 (ZK-NBV) and an Lockheed Electra (ZK-TEB)

I love how it has MG Aviation logo on the 787 so does that mean I have a fleet of 787s lol 😂😂 I'm still waiting for mine. Great review ! Is an expensive hobby to collect all the planes models, bet you have a roomful of them in cabinet. I remembered when I was a little boy, I had tried to build an airplane with real motor and propeller, with cardborad/paper! It powered up and moved few inches but it wont fly! It was my ambitious toy project!
If you set your camera in macro mode, then it wont be blurry at times.
Thank you! Yeah, it's a bit expensive but it's a passion and I have the desire to save for it. I'm using manual focus because I prefer control especially at the wingtips where it will not focus at all. My DSLR has incredibly poor video autofocus anyway.
What cam? The standard lens has a min focus distance, need to know this to keep focus.
Nikon D5500 but it won't matter too much since I'm switching very soon to the Panasonic GH5.
The 789 is sure a great looking aircraft i hope they release Xiamen Hainan and Oman Air versions

Do you keep any Phoenix A380? As you may have noticed, Phoenix is about to release Etihad A380 in 1/200 scale and it is an invaluable chance to collect this model. However, there haven't been any reviews on youtube about the A380 manufactured by Phoenix. Besides, I do not keep any Phoenix model. Therefore, I am still considering whether I should give it a go or not. How do you think?
+Cyrus Leung I haven't purchased one yet and to be honest, I really don't intend to. From what I have heard about their A380 's I wouldn't suggest getting one but instead looking for the JC wings version.

The Turkish 777-300ER is definitely a great start. I would always recommend JC Wings first and the aircraft would be either a 747-400 or 747-8.
