  • Corey Deuel vs Roland Garcia from the third round winners side of the 2022 International 9-Ball Open One Pocket Division.
Deuel is known as one of the more creative players in the game over the last 20 years, and was a Derby City Classic One Pocket runner up back in 2019 amongst the many many titles he has won. Garcia is one of the more unassuming Filipino players in the game today, but has high finishes in previous One Pocket and Banks events.
Jeremy Jones and Mark Wilson commentate this one.

Conceding the game at a 1-3 ball count certainly was creative.

Corey was also 2013 DCC one pocket champ over Django in the finals! This however was not one of his better showings.

I don't agree with the zeroing out of mutual fouls idea. Why change things? Why complicate it? RG made two fouls, he made 4, only one goes up, he should be on two, not three . . Sheesh, man . . And to top it off, the scores aren't positioned over each player's pocket . . . Good thing I guess we don't have to worry if that's a four or five ball . .

They did it to speed up games. They get a lot of entries, and the night matches regularly end at 3 or 4 am. Then the players have to be back sometimes in the morning.
