Do they really help? I use an oversized hotel style white blanket. It doesn't help with emotions much, but it's very cozy.
@ yes! It helps me. I never realized that I wasn’t truly comfy when going to bed until I laid under one and I was like “OH. THIS is comfortable…wow.” It’s also great at retaining heat, so I lay under my fleece blanket with the weighted on top and I’ve been getting the best sleep. It also helps with decreasing tossing and turning for me.
I'm glad you said that about dancing. I have lived in the US and also spent time in Argentina and Costa Rica, and the difference in the US vs Latin American when it comes to being able to dance freely and connect with the music is night and day. I'm sure there are some parts of the US where people do dance, but the level of freedom and good energy I felt in Latin America to just groove in a room full of people, regardless of your age, there's nothing like it. I miss it so much!

I’ve been easing off comments for awhile. But this reading is a map of my life for the past fifteen years. Yes, I was playful, idealistic, funny. That last business sucked the joy right out. Then when I was recovering from that, my spouse left! My life was fkt. I was heavily into the blogging world, where I stepped up my poetry. Not only that, I could write anything, and was feeling pretty good about myself. Then came the creeps. I didn’t recognize them at first. Once I did, I realized that I was in the swamps too. It was sad. For awhile, I was attracted to that place, until I realized that I could likely be addicted to it, due to low self esteem, depression, desperation. It took, at least, four years to climb out. One of them followed me, literally. Had I not been used to the presence, I would have been seriously freaked out. I had another stalker. She gave up sooner. They were both smart, but not very emotional. It’s part of what woke me up. I want to be with someone I can laugh with. Bring me color! I’ve been in my shell. I want to play! The past ten years are the first time I’ve lived completely on my own. I hated it for awhile. I didn’t want to default to a relationship for the sake of being with someone. I want to understand her, explore. You know? “All eyes on you.” Haha! So be it. I’ve got projects. I think a lot of people avoided me. On the other hand, sometimes I send way too long emails to a group of friends. One of them said I should write a book. I think if we can positively impact one single person, you are improving the world. If you hit that one random person, they could be the inspiration for the world. We are all together. Remember, what we do to others, we do it to ourselves. Right? That’s just how close we all are, despite the walls we put up that have likely been passed down for centuries. Authentic! The part about dance is so true. I was a dance instructor before covid lockdowns. I miss it sooo much!! I feel so far from that point now. I'm separated from all my dance friends.
