Since 2015 I watch hockey. I almost dont watch hockey whole year but every time when is World cup, I watch every game of our national team. Every year I am very exited and I hope this tournament would that one. Win or at least medail in hockey world cup is one of my biggest dreams. I watch legendary goals from Moravec, Procházka or Rachůnek and cry. I want to see it on my own eyes. Atleast one in my life. I will be there with hope next year

I got lucky and started watching 2010, when Czechs actually dropped us out, but next year we won. Then 8 long years to win again. It is worth the wait, and it will happen. Just wait :)
Ive been waching pretty much every world cup since 95-ish. I started little before we won our first world cup gold medal in 1995. I was 10 years back then. 👶 Thats alot of disapoitments as well! But you live for those magical moments when everything works and all the planets align. Sport can be so magical but oh so crushing at times. Gotta say I watch alot of diffirent sports and rarely any of my teams win championships but its fine. When they finally do its worth it. 😵😂🍻 🏒⚽⚾🏈⛳🏌🎿🎾🏀🚵🏓🏸🏐🏊
Yes in the 2000s the 7 games between us in elimination phase has beeen 5/2 in favor to Czech. Tight game, could've gone either way. Good luck in the Football Euros, maybe we meet there as well, who knows? :D

Hello, Slavic brothers! Here we are, once again, together, but it's not 2012, we don't all have medals, we are going home, at the same time. Czech republic, Slovakia, Russia, bit of a disappointment for all of us, but there is always next year. We will come back stronger ♥♥♥
Lol everybody's hating on Finland for playing "boring" in this tournament. If they were playing just to entertain you, they'd bounce the puck on their stick and balance it on their forehead, wear funny hats and try some pond hockey dangles on every shift. Or in other words, if you want entertainment, go watch AllStar game highlights. The teams in this tournament are there to win. Jukka Jalonen is a smart coach, and he knows what he has. Finland's offense in this tournament is EXTREMELY weak by our standards. We literally don't even have the best forwards from our own league or our own KHL team. So Jalonen does what he has to, he changes the playstyle so it suits the team. Finland grinds and grinds away until we get a goal or two, then we just have to hold that lead. It's not the most entertaining hockey to watch, but it works.

I was so nervous after they disqualified the first goal, then there was the crossbar shot and I was 100% sure that the hockey gods don't want Finland to win. The relief I felt after the actual goal was scored was unbelievable
Wow, the refs this game were really bad, like, there were so many instances where Czech should've gotten a penalty, that it's crazy honestly. EDIT: Many people seem to think I am only blaming on the Czechs and that's not true. The refs were unfair to both of the teams. I just used Czech as an example from my POV as a Finn :)

Damn, tight game, uncomfortably close. Finland's inefficiency in scoring goals is still as apparent as ever, but at least the defense seems solid aside from the occasional blunders. The third period especially was frustrating to watch because Finland barely attacked. It looked like the pressure of the last two minutes, except for 20 minutes straight. Gotta say though, Olkinuora looked shaky in the early games and I wasn't very confident in him, but he's REALLY redeemed himself since then.
But you fought for it, okay we could have some poweplays but idk if it would change something. Well played and good luck in the rest of the championship.🇨🇿

А потому, что если золото возьмёт канада, то она догонит Россию / СССР по числу побед на ЧМ. А мне, как российскому болельщику, это будет неприятно. Если сша - то у неё станет три золота - это немного, но всё равно не хочется амерского успеха - не брали они уже аж 60 лет золота, и пусть ещё дольше не берут. Depends on what comment you read. I would say the majority fans are not pissed off to the point they want to lynch then, the reasonable criticism is in order for each team or whatnot. They did not play that well in the last match there were lot of instances that they could handle in previous matches but screwed up there. You are absolutely right about showing the support, we need to stick with them especially when they loose, we have still the top tire team in the world.. So i say next year boys, let's rock'n'roll Proč to píšu anglicky? to fakt netuším.

Embarrassing loss czech republic. You were one of the main favourites to win this year but failed once again! Finland at least showed some character and attitude..
I don't see how this is embarrassing at all. Finland is easily one of the best teams if not the best team this year, and the fact the Czech republic just *barely* lost, is really impressive. They were definitely the underdog in this matchup, and they were extremely close to mitigating that 1 goal lead and leveling the game.
@@IronDizaster There is nothing embarrassing in this game. For example early in the 1st period Czech team was totally dominating it. When Finnish commentator said that Czech is "slightly" in control, I laughed. Our goalie Olkinuora was spectacular.

Protoze jsme v tom momente meli jen jedineho brankare, vzali jsme ho na treninky, aby jen proste stal v brance, a po sobotach a nedelich, kdy to slo, jsem ho bral do branky ze stejneho ucelu, kdyz jsem delal bud privatni lekce nebo trenoval me dva dlouholete sverence, ve kterych jsem videl velky talent. Ten kluk jeste navic mel kila navic, a nijak atleticky. Ale hokej miloval a bad kazdou radou a pokynem tvrde premyslel a opravdu se snazil jenom v te brane nestat. Pretocime pasku o tri roky pozdeji: Ten samy kluk vzal v Anaheimu praci na Zamboni, a pozoroval treninky brankaru Ducks. Po praci pozde vecer pak vystroj a sam na lede trenoval jak sileny. Nekdo si ho vsiml a tak na nej zacal strilet. Pretocime pasku I tri dalsi roky: Ten kluk, ktery byl nad vahu a neatleticky, a ktery predtim nikdy nebyl na lede, kdyz prisel me mne na trenink, byl jediny ze vsech kluku, co jsem kdy trenoval, ktery dostal profesionalni kontrakt v Evrope, kde odehral nekolik sezon. Ale tenhle kluk, o kterem jedinem jsem byl uplne presvedcen, ze na hokej nema, me naprosto sokoval. Takze ja to vidim nekde jinde, ten problem ceskeho hokeje. Kazdy mlady kluk so zaslouzi th nejvetsi trenerovu pozornost, protoze NIKDY nikdo nevi, kam to muze dotahnout, kdyz dostane svoji sanci. Ja mu tu sanci nevedomky poskytl, i kdyz to tehdy nebylo v jeho zajmu, spise v zajmu mych tehdejsich hracu. O to Vic jsem dnes moudrejsi, ze vim, ze KAZDEMU ucicimu se hraci se musi dat ferovy prostor, aby mohl rust. Wow, the refs this game were really bad, like, there were so many instances where Czech should've gotten a penalty, that it's crazy honestly.
EDIT: Many people seem to think I am only blaming on the Czechs and that's not true. The refs were unfair to both of the teams. I just used Czech as an example from my POV as a Finn :)

Damn, tight game, uncomfortably close.
Finland's inefficiency in scoring goals is still as apparent as ever, but at least the defense seems solid aside from the occasional blunders.
The third period especially was frustrating to watch because Finland barely attacked. It looked like the pressure of the last two minutes, except for 20 minutes straight.
Gotta say though, Olkinuora looked shaky in the early games and I wasn't very confident in him, but he's REALLY redeemed himself since then.

А потому, что если золото возьмёт канада, то она догонит Россию / СССР по числу побед на ЧМ. А мне, как российскому болельщику, это будет неприятно. Если сша - то у неё станет три золота - это немного, но всё равно не хочется амерского успеха - не брали они уже аж 60 лет золота, и пусть ещё дольше не берут. Финляндия... у них тогда станет четыре золота, а значит если считать в новой истории (с 1992), когда Россия стала выступать как Россия, а не СССР, то финики уже вплотную подберутся к России, у которой как мы знаем пять побед. Если бы НХЛ была канадской лигой - тогда ещё может что-то могло получиться, а то ведь щас в НХЛ амерских клубов втрое больше чем канукских, да ещё и именно амерские клубы наиболее сильные и авторитетные. Ничё у канады не выйдет, против большого брата фиг попрут - пупок канадский развяжется. Letos jo ale v roce 2019 to zklamání nebylo. Nejlepší trener posledních let a nádherný hokej. Tenkrat jsem byl hrdý a spokojený medaile nemedaile.

Depends on what comment you read. I would say the majority fans are not pissed off to the point they want to lynch then, the reasonable criticism is in order for each team or whatnot.
They did not play that well in the last match there were lot of instances that they could handle in previous matches but screwed up there.
You are absolutely right about showing the support, we need to stick with them especially when they loose, we have still the top tire team in the world..

Embarrassing loss czech republic. You were one of the main favourites to win this year but failed once again! Finland at least showed some character and attitude..
I don't see how this is embarrassing at all. Finland is easily one of the best teams if not the best team this year, and the fact the Czech republic just *barely* lost, is really impressive. They were definitely the underdog in this matchup, and they were extremely close to mitigating that 1 goal lead and leveling the game.

@@IronDizaster There is nothing embarrassing in this game. For example early in the 1st period Czech team was totally dominating it. When Finnish commentator said that Czech is "slightly" in control, I laughed. Our goalie Olkinuora was spectacular.

Ja ale vidim hlavni problem ne v tom, co se dalo sledovat, ale to, co nikdy neuvidime.
Jinymi slovy, talenty, ktere nikdy nedostaly sanci kvuli nezmerne korupci, uplaceni, podplaceni, kvuli nezodpovedne praci treneru, kteri preferovali penize pred cti - kluci, kteri by jinak dnes mohli byt vyborni hokejiste, to po urcite dobe boje s nespravedlnosti vzdali....
Kratky pribeh, ktery se stal primo mne, trenerovi, v US:
Proslo mi rukama dohromady asi zhruba 150-200 hokejisti a hokejistek.
Kdyz jsem trenoval jeden tym 16tiletych (Midgets A - tedy 3. nejvyssi vykonnostni stupen),
prisel me mne na station kluk, ktery predtim nikdy nestal na bruslich, ze by rad chytal. Ze zboznuje hokej. Protoze jsme v tom momente meli jen jedineho brankare, vzali jsme ho na treninky, aby jen proste stal v brance, a po sobotach a nedelich, kdy to slo, jsem ho bral do branky ze stejneho ucelu, kdyz jsem delal bud privatni lekce nebo trenoval me dva dlouholete sverence, ve kterych jsem videl velky talent.
Ten kluk jeste navic mel kila navic, a nijak atleticky. Ale hokej miloval a bad kazdou radou a pokynem tvrde premyslel a opravdu se snazil jenom v te brane nestat.
Pretocime pasku o tri roky pozdeji:
Ten samy kluk vzal v Anaheimu praci na Zamboni, a pozoroval treninky brankaru Ducks. Po praci pozde vecer pak vystroj a sam na lede trenoval jak sileny.
Nekdo si ho vsiml a tak na nej zacal strilet.
Pretocime pasku I tri dalsi roky:
Ten kluk, ktery byl nad vahu a neatleticky, a ktery predtim nikdy nebyl na lede, kdyz prisel me mne na trenink, byl jediny ze vsech kluku, co jsem kdy trenoval, ktery dostal profesionalni kontrakt v Evrope, kde odehral nekolik sezon. Sice v nizsi lize, ale bylo to v Nemecku a pak Finsku.
Miloval ten sport natolik, ze tomu dal vsechno. Bez talentu, ale s ukrutnou vuli zivil svuj sen, az se z nej stal sice ne spickovy, ale solidni brankar.
Ano, hodne mych nejlepsich kluku se dostalo na univerzitni tymy a hrali celkem hodne dobry hokej (relativne signifikantni procento hracu v NHL jsou absolventi univerzitnich lig), ale na profi hokej nedosahli - nekolik z nich utrpelo zraneni, ktera znicila jejich kariery.
Ale tenhle kluk, o kterem jedinem jsem byl uplne presvedcen, ze na hokej nema, me naprosto sokoval.
Takze ja to vidim nekde jinde, ten problem ceskeho hokeje.
Kazdy mlady kluk so zaslouzi th nejvetsi trenerovu pozornost, protoze NIKDY nikdo nevi, kam to muze dotahnout, kdyz dostane svoji sanci. Ja mu tu sanci nevedomky poskytl, i kdyz to tehdy nebylo v jeho zajmu, spise v zajmu mych tehdejsich hracu.
O to Vic jsem dnes moudrejsi, ze vim, ze KAZDEMU ucicimu se hraci se musi dat ferovy prostor, aby mohl rust.
A trener by mel but schopen trenovat I zadarmo, kdyz na to prijde, protoze u takoveho trenera je zarukou, ze trenuje hokej s laskou a ne pro osobni profit.
Tam je nejvetsi problem naseho hokeje
