I just got an Ep70 its even more base then this it doesn’t even have side pockets and it has narrow strips inside as pull handles, also without a clock on the dash and has now rear wiper nor de mist, and has a 1.0 engine only 80k kms.

    I had a 1986 1.3 5 speed. I actually miss it.

Better than the previous model. Many were assembled in Killeen Rd Ballyfermot and most were recalled to be scraped due to problems with rusting rear axels

Yes, I remember that. Round headlight examples were Irish and had to be bought back and scraped.

Im luck enough to own a UK model Starlet. Sadly Toyota did not seem to sell alot of them. Only being available as a GL with only the 1E. Shame because it is a lovely little car

I gave you the like albeit you'r full of mistakes:its an ep 70,the turbo one was the 71,they can go faster than in their prospect if everithing is adjusted, tweaked and has gotten love.
My self with my 1liter,have gotten numerous times to 60mph/100 kmh only in second gear,my max was not once 165 kmh in fourth not fifth.
There was no 1 litre turbo, the car from the video is not at all the most basic one,the basic model had no door pockets,no door armrests, only a strap to pull the door,no clock,no right mirror,no rear window wiper, defroster,no separable back seat folding(it folded in one piece),no openable rear windows they were fixed. ...

Also no door and body side strips.

It was the most basic offered in the Irish market which is where the video is aimed at. Other markets may vary. Pretty sure I didn't reference engine size for the turbo which is 1.3, not 1 litre. Thanks for the comment though, keeps me honest

Lovely car & video. I'd say the 155 70s are an upgrade even.... 145/155 80s were OE AFAIK 😂

I'd say the best of what was available now but it's still a lovely little drive. Still, a lovely little Cork car 🚗

Great walk around, would love to see a drive review as well. Where are all these old Japanese cars hiding In Ireland, amazing you still keep f8 ding them!

Unfortunately it couldn't happen this time due to the camera person getting a covid diagnosis. It affects 2 more videos as they were all done the same day. The good news is I now have a way around it and even better..........and even rarer old Japanese cars on the way! Shhhh for now!
