Back in the late 70s I lived in the Kingsley Private Hotel on George St opposite the Mansions. I used to see RR George in different places around Brisbane, he was very interesting to chat with.
Im almost 80 now and had almost forgotten rock and roll george..my goodness how times have changed..i used to go to O'Connor Boat House dance Saturdays and Wednesday nights plus sometime a Sunday afternoon disco...Always remember seeing rock n roll George driving around in his classic fj holden driving up and down the city streets..legend man ..rip
Just when I thought you couldn't do a better job than last video, you have proved me wrong! Brilliant doco on one of Brisbane's best icons! It is a shame he has a pauper grave. There are two of his cars around - one in the Qld Museum and the original, which is owned by Hutchinson Builders. Great job!
Very interesting.
Thanks for doing this video about this great Brisbane icon!
I remember my stepdad talking about him. Awesome video
