    Sorry for the green flashes folks.
    Don't know what the craic is with that 🤨
    I'll consult my production team (Dan and Nic) tomorrow and sort it.
    Probably some setting to change or something 🙄
    (Could be the fairies...)
    Anyway hope it didn't ruin it for you!

    Not sure if you know this Brian, but I believe there is a requirement for a daily joke and a daily puppy cuddle in the fine print of your TH-cam contract. I could listen to you talk for hours and your walks through the villages are lovely.

    I had an Old Ford Popular that required a run up hills, otherwise it slowed right down. When I eventually sold it there was a hole in the radiator and where the front passenger put their feet. In the winter I had to hit the starter motor with an iron rod. The kids these days have no idea of the fun we had back in the day.😅

    Yes, I have always loved Irish Folklore. Lots of it has trickled into my country, the U.S. Tell us about Tara - In Gone With the Wind, Scarlett O'Hara's family home was named, "Tara." I don't think the author, of that book, ever explained where the name came from.

    • @bevanbrady7504
      @bevanbrady7504 2 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +2

      Tara is a townland in County Meath about 40kms or 25ish miles from Dublin city centre. Pasted directly from the website for the "Hill of Tara"
      The Hill of Tara has been important since the late Stone Age, when a passage tomb was built there. However, the site became truly significant in the Iron Age (600 BC to 400 AD) and into the Early Christian Period when it rose to supreme prominence - as the seat of the high kings of Ireland. All old Irish roads lead to this critical site.
      St Patrick himself went there in the fifth century. As Christianity achieved dominance over the following centuries, Tara’s importance became symbolic. Its halls and palaces have now disappeared and only earthworks remain.
      There are still remarkable sights to be seen, however. Just one example is the Lia Fáil - the great coronation stone and one of the four legendary treasures of the Tuatha Dé Danann - which stands proudly on the monument known as An Forradh

    The views! The little towns with their clean and shiny windows (my town is mostly covered with wildfire soot) and the smooth jazz. But yes, many of us have heard the Halloween origins, since a significant portion of our 'ethnic' cultures relies on our proto-Celt ancestors, who arrived in Europe in the Early Bronze Age with with carts, cattle and cauldrons (they went everywhere in Europe). My favorite modern interpretation of fairies was in "Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell", written by Susanna Clark in 2004 and presented on BBC One in 2015. Fairies are trixie and vicious ;)
