Thanks again for all who endured that weather to bring us this coverage because WOW that was an intense finish, bitter sweet to say the least but you clearly see that the pressure got to each one of the Emporia players at the end.

ESU was bogey free for the first two team rounds, and the first half of this final round too. Extremely impressive!

This is why meaningless ob lines shouldn’t exist. Courses have trees, streams, bushes, and other natural obstacles. Putting a line 25 feet from the basket to “make it harder” is terrible to watch from a fans perspective. But then again, course designers of today are wildly out of touch with what people enjoy watching and playing

Such a terrible take. None of these lines are meaningless OB. The lines make it absolutely mandatory to control the disc's speed coming into the green. It puts the emphasis on accuracy and control over pure distance. Anyone who has actually been to or paid attention to the USDGC course at Winthrop knows this. A course like this demands the full arsenal of shots and speeds. It is not easy and it is not intended to be. As a fan and player of the game, it is wildly entertaining to see how players handle these 100-200 ft upshots that are anything but simple because of the threat of OB.

@@JC-dc7eb yea let’s go and tell a private university to plant trees and bushes all over its campus for disc golf. Oh yea and while we’re at it let’s try that in every public park. Good luck with that. OB lines are an effective alternative. You want disc golf round to last 6 hours with everyone search for discs in the rough? Lol
