I have been a refugee for all my life till date... I felt the pain and how really a war can destroy and separate us from ours. But believing in oneself can conquer anything or at least something...
YES Louis, thank you for sharing... Letting them tell their story, giving these kids a voice and a face is so, so, so important. Beautiful content and heartbreaking at the same time. The stories of the refugee crisis need to be told as they made a huge impact on a lot of us. While being on Lesbos during the peak of the crisis, building a refugee camp, we saw way too many inhumane things... Most of us are so crazy privileged being born in an environment where we have access to education, healthcare and where we can just simply be free, feel and be safe. We need to give these kids the same chance to grow and flourish into great human beings.
Now imagine germany would hear to the rest of the world and wouldnt help refugees. Young people like him, wouldnt get a chance for a better life, they would have to continue living in their bad conditions. These people have no opportunity, and its actually insane to let them alone with these problems, while we could help them. This shows me that our politic in germany chose the right way, even though we had some problems, therefore we helped so many people and created new chances. Nobody expected it to be easy and i think if you hear these storys you cant say, we shouldnt have let him in!
@@obliviouz i wonder with what you started in live. For sure you started in much better conditions, its so easy to say stuff like this if you are not in the situation yourself. Plus most of The refugees were forced to leave, because of the war. What do you want to tell them? I dont think you should leave your country because of a bad economie situation or something like this but i wont judge anybody who lives under really bad conditions and tries to change his life. I can fully understand it, and its just wrong to blame this people from my/your position!

obliviouz keep those generalizations to yourself. The vast majority of refugees absolutely respects the laws of the countries they are allowed in and are very grateful for that opportunity just like the young man in the video.

Great video! It's really important to show stories like this. Theres so much emphasis on the 'negativ' stories in the media but so little on good stories. I think even though it was a struggle and there was a lot of controversy, Germany did the right thing.

It was also great to hear about the positive reception he received when he finally arrived to Germany - as I stated theres loads of negativity when it comes to refugees, and I would of thought locals would of turned a blind eye on them.
