I give the sink, mirror and toilet a quick wipe down every single day, as well as empty the trash. I then clean the floor and shower/tub once a week. My bathroom never gets that bad anymore.
I have to clean my bathroom daily. I live with 5 teen boys and my husband. So after they're all off to school and the husbands off to work, I will give the sink/counter/toilet a wipe down. Then I take the weekends off on doing it. Great video! I also use a tray on the counter with products on it. It works great!
Thanks to my mother, she taught us how to clean up behind ourselves. I clean my bathroom everyday or everyother day, the toilet and sink practically gets cleaned everyday. The shower like once a week and the floor as needed. It's small. But, I still like to look at cleaning videos for extra tips!
I clean my sink after every use, and especially after putting on my makeup in the morning. I clean the bathtub after every shower and or bath. Great videos. Keep it up!
I do a nice thorough deep clean once a week but touch up everyday. I hate dirty mirrors so usually have to clean those every day or every other day. :) I wipe down the counters with my Method all purpose cleaner daily because it takes 10 seconds and makes a big difference.
I always keep clorox wipes and use them to clean the toilet and counter everyday. I deep clean it once a week every friday and It only takes 10-15 mins. It helps a lot to wipe down everyday. I actually have to full bathrooms so I clean on on monday and the other on friday.
I am from Venezuela I do not speak as quickly as all of you in E.E.U.U and sometimes all of you speak quickly and not clear for mi , but as soon as I started to listen to you I could understand. I am in your chanel Now ... Thankyou for speaking clear and well.
I've been enjoying your videos and was wondering if you could do something on cleaning routines - what do you do daily, weekly, monthly, etc. Also, how much time do you spend doing all this cleaning! Do you set aside specific days for cleaning or do a little bit every day? Would definitely appreciate a video about cleaning and time management!
Awesome video!! Love it!! My cleaning hack is that I tidy up while brushing my teeth. It's 2 x 2 mins, so 4 mins everyday. You only use one hand for brushing anyway. I wipe down the counter, put things away, etc... I almost never have to clean the bathroom because of this hack.
Hi, I actually got the habit of "swish & swipe" from Fly Lady. Everyday you swipe the mirror, sink and counter and swish the brush around the toilet and wipe it down and around where is sits on the floor with whatever you used to swish. Rag, paper towel whatever and bingo it always looks fresh and clean. Love these videos and can't wait for your next one. TFS and take care..........
Since watching your videos, I clean my bathrooms daily.....well, sinks and toilets, the rest gets a clean weekly . More "habit" videos would be great, loved this!!! X
Loved this! Please do a video on keeping the desk/stationary drawer tidy and clean. I struggle sometimes to keep it organised especially near exam times x
I used to not clean behind me after using it,but after I had my bathrooms remodeled I do all of the steps you mentioned. My husband and I now do this in every room!
I clean the sink and toilet as I go and we "squeeg" the shower every time we take a shower..and I clean the floor when I am cleaning the floors in the whole house.. But something like a general bathroom cleaning I do once in two weeks. I would like to do it every week, but I am not fit enough due to a sickness, so two weeks have to be enough for now. Btw. Your video's are really awesome support in houskeeping since I am already two years sick at home. The video's are great and they give me loads of positive energy en motivation. Thanks for that!! xxx
Thanks for another great video of tips! Sending to my hubby. Before finding your videos, I cleaned my bathroom before people came over. So about twice a year. 😱😱 Now I'm aiming for once a month and squeegee-ing after each shower.
@melissamaker thank u for the vid! One thing I do every day is wipe my toilet seat w/ a Clorox wipe or paper towel & toilet spray after I use it. It's become a habit now. I appreciate ur passion for clean bathrooms. I'm right there w/u!
So true Melissa. This is awesome. I started doing these things more a few weeks ago, (though I've been doing the squeegee thing for 8 months) and cleaning the bathroom once a week, and the results are sparkling. So glad I started doing this more. Great video as always! xo
Everyday, I make sure the sink in the bathroom is clean. Once a week, I clean the entire bathroom(s). The Clean My Space video's have been great, even at my age, I'm learning new things.
I clean my bathroom every Wednesday on my day off. 2 preventative tips that I have are -> #1 hide a dry cloth swiffer sweeper behind the door. After I get ready I run it to pick up loose hairs on the floor so iu don't track them. #2 I spray ALL hair products IN the shower. I never have hair spray residue on counters, fixtures, do it knobs, baseboards, ECT. Life changing!
I have about 20 microfiber cloths, and 2 small baskets under the bathroom sink, and kitchen sink.... 1 has folded, clean microfiber cloths, and the other one I toss the dirty ones in....... Whenever I do towels, I just dump the baskets of dirty ones in with those, wash, and split up between the 2 baskets I use for clean ones, again...
I clean the bathroom (toilet, tub, sink) once a week. Every two weeks I vacuum/mop the bathroom floor with spot vacuuming in between. I wash or at least wipe down other surfaces (window sill, cabinet, etc.) when I notice the need; ditto the ceiling and walls.
Hey Mel! Out of curiosity, where do you keep your used towels (for wiping down basins and surface areas) on a daily basis and how often do you switch them out?
plussizemommy2B Lucky you, mine just gives for granted that I'll clean and never does it himself. He'll actually blow his nose and toss the tissue on the floor. Picking up after him is not the way to teach him to pick up after himself. :/
Hi Mellisa, i deep clean my tiny restroom once a week and clean it as I use it on a daily. your tips have helped me a lot, it has been easier to maintain does good cleaning habits.
You must be a very busy person. Having a clean bathroom is wonderful when you want to clean up with a shower or bath, but I understand if your so busy with other things, that getting your priorities straight is nuts sometimes.
Love your channel. It has been very inspiring to me; my life is becoming more clean and organized. I'm going to tackle the bathroom cabinet under the vanity, where all manner of clutter have accumulated. My mom has a water softener for her house and advised me (when I was there showering) to use the shower head to rinse down the shower walls and curtain. The water is so smooth it sheets off, and she never gets soap scum accumulated.
My bathroom gets cleaned every day. I am buying a squeegee next weekend when I go to Saskatoon. I'm so glad for the explanation of the squeegee Melissa! I didn't know if it would work for me, since I bath (instead of showering) and I use bath bombs occasionally which leave an awful ring in the tub. I'll give it a go!
Thank you for your videos! They are awesome I just got a squeegee and used it for about a week and LOVE it!! Thanks for that idea! I also find use a small eyeshadow brush around her the faucet with some soap and water around the faucets and drain helps clean the hard to get parts. 😊
I give it a wipe down everyday, but I just bought a squeegee for the shower. I have never used one before a few weeks ago and it makes a big difference
I clean my bathroom twice a week. it's the smallest room of the house and most dreaded for me to clean. yet I use your videos to motivate me because I have kids I make it my business one waynor another to keep it clean
I wash toilets on Tuesday, sinks on Wed, and everything else on Friday. If I miss a day, it's no big deal, but a quick clean throughout the week works great for me.
my bathroom 3 times a month at least as I clean and change sand in the litter box (I have 2 cats Colorado and Athena) The worst is the bathtub 50 years old and tired (my rent values have not changed Those since the house was built, unfortunately) Do you have anytrick to easily clean such an old bathtub? I usually take everything from the bathroom to the dishwasher and the washing machine and everything gets good-smelling and shining :-) You are a great gift to humanity
Two times a week I clean the sink, toilet and floor. I wipe the sink splashes and mirror with a microfiber cloth daily. I clean the tub every other week (I just have a shower curtain so no glass to squeegee) and remove and wash the shower curtain every 2 months. 🚽🚿🛁✨
My bathroom usually only gets a good proper 1hr long clean about once a month. But I randomly wipe down the counters, shower, clean the mirror, etc, etc all throughout the month too, just when I notice it starting to look like it needs a bit of a clean. Not really so much of a rountine as just giving it a touch up when it needs doing and when I have the time. I have my own bathroom so thankfully it doesn't get dirty too quickly :-)
My master stays the cleanest. It’s wiped a couple of times a week and really cleaned once a week. The other three bathrooms get hit about once a week. But I clean the tub/shower less than once a week now that I’m using daily shower spray. :D. Makes a big difference.
We have 1 bathroom in our apartment that is shared by me, my husband and my 5 year old son. I do a pretty good clean every other day (10-15 minutes). It's a must when you have a well-meaning toddler aiming to pee in the toilet :)
I do the things u mentioned in this video on a daily basis. One of my pet peeves is water on the counter and taps. My taps have to sparkle. I am constantly wiping up after i use the washroom and getting my daughter in the habit of doing so as well. I usually spray down the whole shower after my shower but I like the tip on the squeegee...shall pick one up for the bathroom tomorrow. 😬
i have 4 kids and they are a mess but ive learned that cleaning as you go is an awesome habit cause it not only helps clean less but its so much more kid friendly
I clean my bathroom every weekend but everything you went over in the video is done everyday and as soon as possible for the reasons you mentioned. I have a microfiber cloth at each sink to clean up. My bathroom and kitchen are the cleanest and most orderly rooms in the house. If only I can get the rest of the house that way. The struggle is real!
I always wipe down the walls of my bathroom after a shower and I've started to do that to the floor recently too. Actual cleaning is generally once every two weeks, I don't have any other excuse for that than laziness!
Once a week or every week and a half. I have three bathrooms and a powder room. I devide my cleaning throughout the week. Ex: toilets and sinks one day ( in each bathroom), mirrors and counters another day and so on.
Daily. Because I do it everyday, it only takes a few minutes. I do it after we have all finished getting ready in he morning. 10 minutes a day and that includes wiping the door, baseboards etc.
I clean the bathroom once a week. I do a few small things in between, like wiping the counter every couple days and sometimes giving the floor an extra sweep.
i clean my bathroom every week. Its the only weekly cleaning task i never skip, it is weird to say I like cleaning my bathroom? I love how its sparkles when clean, no other room does that!!
I clean my bathroom every day. I keep a spray bottle of peroxide in there and spray everything down with it (including the bristles of our tooth brushes) then wipe it down with a sponge including the floor. That sponge then goes in the microwave for 2 minutes to kill any germs on it. The shower gets sprayed down with "Clean Shower" every day, and our towels go in the drier for 10 minutes after each shower before hanging they back in the bathroom again. I do change those out once a week with fresh, clean towels. The toilet gets a good dose of "The Works" bathroom toilet cleaner every day.
I clean my mirror/counter/sink, toilet bowl/seat, and shower base as needed (or whenever I feel paranoid) so about 2-3 times a week. I mop the floor and scrub the entire shower weekly. I'm still working on dusting...its been years🙃🙃
I used to clean my bathroom on an as needed basis truth be told. In the past 4-6 weeks I have been cleaning all surfaces weekly ( 10 mins tops ) whether they appeared dirty or not and it is a much better system due to the fact that there is never any build up. I also wipe down the shower walls with a chamois after each use....keeps it sparkly clean. Keep in mind that I'm only cleaning up after myself, makes a bit of a difference I'd think ; ).
I honestly do clean my bathroom, at least the entire toilet and sink/counter area daily - once I have finished brushing my teeth and rinsing my face with a wash cloth, I then use that same wash cloth to wipe down the sink and toilet, after I have swished and swiped the bowl with my toilet brush. then the wash cloth goes in the dirty clothes hamper and I am ready to go! Sometimes I even toss it on the floor, step on it and use my foot/feet to damp mop the bathroom floor, especially around the baseboard area where lost hairs tend to accumulate.
I clean my bathroom about once a week. But usually I don't need to cuz I'm a "clean as I goer." Lol thanks for the tips! Your channel is so helpful for a housewife with 2 under 3yrs, like myself ❤️❤️
I was really ill last April and living on my own I had to change a lot of things, now I use wipes in the bathroom in between cleaning, it really cuts down on the cleaning. Same with the kitchen I use wipe in between cleaning and it makes cleaning so much easier. I also use either baby wipes or dog wipes on my dogs after I have groomed them and they are a lot better as well. It is dead hair that smells mainly with dogs and by keeping that down by grooming they don't smell as much. They are much stronger than I am and my keeping them groomed and the wipes, it saves me having to bath them which I can't do.
I noticed the facial cleaner brush device you have on the counter.....what is the name of it? I've seen those online once but forgot what they are called and would love to look into them....I love the fact that the brush is kept sanitary being stored that way when not in use...tia for your response
One big thing I did for my shower (and my skin) was to switch to Dr. Bronner's soaps. It does not have fillers so makes for a much cleaner shower/tub with zero soap scum. I clean my bathrooms about once a week and not having to deal with soap scum is a big plus. Maybe not for someone with long hair, but for a male with a military cut who showers twice a day it is great to use the same product for both body and hair. Most of my gross shower nastiness comes from me shaving in the mornings while in the shower to save time. It says on the bottle that I can use the body soap as a bathroom cleaner, but I prefer to stick to conventional cleaners.
British houses often don't have en-suites; just a family bathroom. New builds tend to have a downstairs toilet/cloakroom and an en-suite for the master bedroom but nearly all older houses have one bath/toilet and it must be wonderful to have more than one!
I usually swish and swipe every morning, that is, quick wipping-down mirror spots, sink and toilet and vaccuming/moping the awful white floors. I also squeegee the glass and tiles after each bath. It is deep cleaned twice a week. The complete Brazilian crazy cleaning madness, including watering down windowa, walls and light fixtures usually happens once a month.
Thank you for the infos, i am from Brazil and i loved the video. I live alone, so i try to clean my bathroom as i go too. I usually do the 10 minutes on weekends. Its funny that without knowing i am already doing those things :-)
I clean my toilet once a week. I wipe my sink down whenever I have the energy or it starts to look questionable - which tends to fall around a week or so. I wipe my shower walls dry after each shower (thanks to your videos about this subject - but I use a microfiber cloth.... which isn't so efficient so I'm going to get a squigee!) but only wash it maybe once a month or every two months......... HOWEVER, this is probably a habit leftover from childhood. Growing up, we had daily chores that rotated between us 3 kids. Cleaning the bathroom was one of those chores (so it was cleaned daily). I'm used to cleaning often because of this and also to having a clean bathroom so a dirty one makes me feel disgusting and a dirty house gives me anxiety!
Great tips :)....I clean my bathroom once in every three days. ... But wanted to know how to keep the cleaning products clean after using them in the bathroom. I usually wash , dry them and then store. Do you have any other better suggestions....
I keep my bathroom clean. Both of them. The master bathroom is the one that I use most. I clean my shower every time I shower. That makes it easier to maintain. 😊
Hi there. Thanks for making this video. But can you share how to remove mold from the silicone between the sink and the water to prevent water from seeping through?
Should we make more videos about cleaning habits?
Clean My Space yes
Yes please!

That would be great! I am interested in learning ways to maintain the hard work of deep cleaning, too. Thanks so much

I give the sink, mirror and toilet a quick wipe down every single day, as well as empty the trash. I then clean the floor and shower/tub once a week. My bathroom never gets that bad anymore.

That thing you did with the toilet brush, resting and drying under the seat...GENIUS!! Thank you.
I always keep clorox wipes and use them to clean the toilet and counter everyday. I deep clean it once a week every friday and It only takes 10-15 mins. It helps a lot to wipe down everyday. I actually have to full bathrooms so I clean on on monday and the other on friday.
I believe in that 'swish and swipe' with the disinfectant wipes!
YT4Me57
Angeles D I do the same
I am from Venezuela I do not speak as quickly as all of you in E.E.U.U and sometimes all of you speak quickly and not clear for mi , but as soon as I started to listen to you I could understand. I am in your chanel Now ... Thankyou for speaking clear and well.

I've been enjoying your videos and was wondering if you could do something on cleaning routines - what do you do daily, weekly, monthly, etc. Also, how much time do you spend doing all this cleaning! Mariah Wallener yes!! I would love that too
Awesome video!!
The squeegee video saved my life! But can you do a video on how to clean the rubber sealant in the shower?
once a week I do a full clean. I've watched this video before and now I follow your easy tips. Thankyou x
OMG! I love what you did to the toilet brush. It's so simple, but I had never thought about it and I hate to put it in the holder while still wet!
After watching your videos I try to clean my bathroom once a week if not then every other week. Love your videos!

So true about keeping a clean sink. Thanks for sharing
I really clean it every week. The 2 sink tips I have already implemented, and the clean as you go. It is definitely much simpler!
Your videos are so encouraging. I'm doing it every day after each shower. 👍👍😊
WHERE HAVE YOUR VIDEOS BEEN ALL MY LIFE!!!! OMG SO HAPPY I FOUND THIS CHANNEL.
So true Melissa. This is awesome. I started doing these things more a few weeks ago, (though I've been doing the squeegee thing for 8 months) and cleaning the bathroom once a week, and the results are sparkling. So glad I started doing this more. Great video as always! xo

Melissa! You present really good habits in a quick, no nonsense approach but that background music is grating!
Love this video. A little every day but a good cleaning on every Friday.
I clean my bathroom every Wednesday on my day off. 2 preventative tips that I have are -> #1 hide a dry cloth swiffer sweeper behind the door. My master bath is my little dark, dirty secret. It needs a good scrub....or a match.
ClutterBug I love your channel💜
Ckutterbug, what is yr channel?
Youve inspired me to get off my butt and tidy my bathroom. I speed clean my bath a couple times a week. Last time was day before yesterday.
My question is what do u do with all the clothes u used to wipe the bathroom- how to clean and store it? I clean daily
You can store them under your bathroom sink and replace with clean ones probably once a week.
Confession time!! I confess, I clean my bathroom once every 6 months... or when it starts to get nasty... I should clean it more often
It also depends on with how many people you share and how clean these people are. LOL. When you are by yourself, 6 months is not that bad.
Olivia Arenas eww thats nasty smh wth
Melissa did say confession time. I'm alone most of the time. My husband is a truck driver and is rarely home.
Olivia Arenas thank you for being one of the few honest People 🙄
Haha... right?!

Helpful hints! I deep clean my bathroom once a week. Thank you for sharing this video.
I got your book for a Christmas a belated Christmas present today! I am excited to read it! Thank you for helping me become more organized!
I do a quick clean everyday after I finish using the bathroom.
Barely takes any time, and it soon just becomes part of your routine : )
When's the last time you cleaned your bathroom?
Clean My Space 3 days ago, already dirty
i clean mine every week
i deep clean it every week.
Today! I try to clean as I go, thanks to you Melissa!!
About three hours ago. :) I'm the only one who uses it, so I'll clean about every two weeks, with spot cleaning as needed.
Yes, but the real problem is how do you get your husband to clean as he goes?
makeupyourmind2019 WORD! We only have one bathroom with our two teenage boys...please how do I get them to have clean habits?
you clean it :( I don't have teens but I do have a gross husband ... if you clean they will learn to slowly clean behind you :)
plussizemommy2B Lucky you, mine just gives for granted that I'll clean and never does it himself. He'll actually blow his nose and toss the tissue on the floor. Picking up after him is not the way to teach him to pick up after himself. :/
Mine blows his nose directly in the sink... and doesn't run the water after :/
and kids! cleaning up after them only teaches them that you'll always do it yourself. it's so exhausting!
I clean my bathroom everyday . I'm a clean/neat freak! love all your tips and tricks!! Big Fan!!
I love your cleaning channel!!!!! I swear my home stays clean 24/7.
Hi Mellisa, i deep clean my tiny restroom once a week and clean it as I use it on a daily. your tips have helped me a lot, it has been easier to maintain does good cleaning habits.

Actually my journey with CMS all started with your 3 Minute Toilet video ;-)
So, Hello from Germany :-*
I give it a wipe down everyday, but I just bought a squeegee for the shower. I have never used one before a few weeks ago and it makes a big difference

I clean my bathroom daily, as I suffer from ocd :) love your videos
I've cleaned my shower once in six months because I squeegee it after every shower it works great thanks Melissa
I clean my bathroom every day as I go as you put it!!!
I clean my bathroom once every week while i am cleaning the entire house (age:13)
I was raised doing this and I still do it as an adult... Lol
Good for you! That's a lot of responsibility your taking on!
I clean mine every week. Thankyou for the tip of putting the toilet brush under the rim to dry x
Top to bottom bathroom cleaning goal is once each week. However, I do spot cleaning during the week. LUV YA!
I hate clean period but every other weekend or online week wend I do a good complete. months whole place !
you create such useful videos. you have revolutionized how I clean and the products I use. Thanks Melissa:)
Once a week or every week and a half. I have three bathrooms and a powder room. I devide my cleaning throughout the week. Ex: toilets and sinks one day ( in each bathroom), mirrors and counters another day and so on.
Deep clean once a week on thursdays, clean up (wipe counter, sink toilet, and straighten up everything) on sundays. it works great in my home.
Daily. Because I do it everyday, it only takes a few minutes. I do it after we have all finished getting ready in he morning. 10 minutes a day and that includes wiping the door, baseboards etc.
I clean the bathroom once a week. I do a few small things in between, like wiping the counter every couple days and sometimes giving the floor an extra sweep.
why do ppl give her thumbs down she has great ideas!!!
i clean my bathroom every week.
Sometimes I even toss it on the floor, step on it and use my foot/feet to damp mop the bathroom floor, especially around the baseboard area where lost hairs tend to accumulate.
hi i love your cleaning tips, i clean my bathroom twice a week, i need to maintain a bit more, thanks for your tips.
I clean my bathroom about once a week. But usually I don't need to cuz I'm a "clean as I goer." Lol thanks for the tips! Your channel is so helpful for a housewife with 2 under 3yrs, like myself ❤️❤️
Clean as you go is something I saw my boyfriend do when we first started dating. I thought he was weird. It has been the best habit yet.
I have a small house so I love only having 1 1/2 baths to clean. Great tips!
Every other week. However, I do the clean as you go thing as well.
4 teenagers in this house = a deep clean every 10 days is a must. Maintenance is a huge time saver.
