I got into them in July of last year. There's a restaurant where I live that has pictures of them. We went there and when I got home I listened to them on my phone. The first song I listened to was let it be. I didn't grow up listening to them because my dad hates them (I'm still trying to get him to like them). I've been a fan ever since. I will always love them. No other band is like them.

My mom once put them on the radio and we started to listen to them. The first song I heard was The Long & Winding Road!At that point I just saw that as my favorite song EVER until I heard the album it is from, Let it Be and the first song I heard was of course, Two of Us then changing my mind to my favorite song, then came Across the Universe as the third song on there, so then I loved that. Then at 6 was Let it Be, which was beautiful!I was speechless! And to this day Let it Be is my favorite song.

I was 7 years old when my brother and me split the cost on The white album which had just come out. Not that I was advanced for my young age. The next album I got was the Archies. I did buy the Let it Be 45 and saw the film when it came out. I've been hooked ever since. I need to add on another room to house all my Beatles' stuff. I'm always amazed that each generation discovers them...genius is timeless.

Hi Jackie your video really made me smile 😊 because when I grew up there were no Beatles until I was about 9 years old and no one knew what to make of them. I saw them on The Ed Sullivan show and fell in love instantly and never looked back. You have exceptional taste in music and don't let anyone ever put you down for that

I became a fan in 1977 when I was almost 14. A friend in 7th grade kept bugging me to borrow his Magical Mystery Tour album. I finally gave in and it blew me away! After that I became obsessed with The Beatles and bought every USA album and also all of their solo albums. Almost 43 years later I still love The Beatles more than any other musical artist. I also love each of them (especially John) on a personal level. Borrowing MMT from my friend is one of the best decisions that I ever made.

I'm a lot older than you Jackie and actually saw them in Sydney Australia in 1964 with my sister. They were great live too despite really terrible stadium sound systems. Doesn't surprise me their music is still massively popular today-it was that good right from the start. Wonderful to see young fans like you embrace their timeless music. You have great taste!

Hey Jackie, I was 5 when I first started getting into The Beatles. I've always had a taste for old music, clothes, furniture, I just love it. I was constantly teased through school and always felt like I never fit in, and honestly I didn't really want to. It helped make me strong and independent and mold me into the person I am today. In college I found my niche and made many friends who shared my interests. I started going to Beatles/music festivals where I found more friends and The Beatles community online is truly amazing as well. Thanks for the video, it's nice to have people to share experiences with, and who get it!

My sister ran away from home when I was 10. After a couple of weeks I decided to explore her bedroom, being a nosy little bugger, and I found three albums. The White album, let it be, magical mystery tour. It was love at first listen. I've been a fan ever since. Sad note, that was also the year that John Lennon was shot.

Hey don't feel bad I was 12 -13 when I became a fan in 1972 - 73 .I got hassled because I didn't care about Bowie or the Stones and was literally punched in the face by a girl in school for saying that. Lol. But it all changed when I seen McCartney and Wings in Philly at the Spectrum (tickets were 9.50 a piece). Then I was the only kid who seen a Beatle. There was a big interest in a Beatles reunion by 1976. Also that's when I became a musician. Now I'm a professional. THANK GOD FOR THE BEATLES!!! Great video thx!

Hello Jackie. I enjoyed this video discussing how you became a Beatles fan. My parents are first generation Beatles fans. They played the Beatles music (both group and solo) all the time and instantly became a lover and a fan. I became a super hardcore fan around the time of the Beatles Anthology. When I was in school, I had other classmates to relate to but I always hide the fact that I love the Beatles from them. I’ve never been teased in school for liking the Beatles even though I teased other kids for no reason! LOL I enjoyed this vlog video Jackie. Take care

Great video, I had a similar story growing up. I was give a pile of records and a record player, there were a bunch of Beatles albums. Once I listen to them I was hooked and was obsessed with the music and owning all their albums. I still remember buying my first record at a music store, it was the Beatles of course, it was the greatest hits the red one. I would play the music to my friends on my record player and they didn’t get it and thought it was weird. Those friends have drifted away over time but I still have all my records. Just to give a time period for everyone, Vanilla Ice was the big thing at the time

for me, i feel like i’ve already liked the beatles when i was very young (like 6, 7?). it’s because my mom always played their songs, and some of their solo work in the radio whenever we were going somewhere far or heading home from somewhere far. i remember their songs she used to play, i was listening and singing while we were driving either home on an empty road at night, with just a few cars passing by, with the nightlights adding up the nostalgia. i never knew the names of the songs she played, nor the artist. all that mattered to me was how memorable the tune was, or, to put it simply, how catchy it was. i remember listening to their song “obladi, oblada” almost all the time. i think she loved that song. years later, REALLY getting into the beatles and the beatles themselves, stumbling upon the songs i never knew were theirs all over again is like being hit with a big-ass hammer filled with all sorts of fuzzy emotions i’ve felt when i listened to their songs years back, and all the nostalgia. because of that, i’ve realized how much of a great band they were, and obviously the best band in the world, maybe besides queen, and here i am now. commenting this essay. alright, that’s all. thank you for reading. hope you have a great day❤️🌷

Hi Jackie. The Beatles appeal to all age groups. The music is sublime and extremely fresh, even after fifty years, like no other. It's true people appreciate their music more as they themselves grow older, hence the massive fan base. In the UK, ABBEY ROAD tops the album's charts, who would have thought.

The Beatles broke up in 1970. So it was only 6 or 7 years after their brake up, and kids thought of them as old school. Give yourself a pat on the back, for having excellent tastes in music.

I was born Jan ’70, and with siblings who were fans, the Beatles have always been around in my life. I also liked the Beatles cartoons. I liked what you said about people being more mature at college and not teasing you: that's true to some degree but as you can see with some older TH-camrs and comments, the teasing and intolerance does return when talking about modern music 😉
I’m sure a lot of modern music will be considered ’classic’ in 20 or 30 years time despite the naysayers. I remember many 80s and 90s artists who were scoffed at but are now considered legends.

Nice vid. Proving, once more, that middle school kids are nitwits. Lol. Good on you, for sticking with the Fab Four. You have both perseverance and fine taste. It's encouraging to see younger fans, with enthusiasm like yours. I also liked your John Lennon POB package review. Great album! Keep up the good work.

I just saw your Beatles documentary it was fantastic where are you the lady that made it? Been a Beatles fan for over 50 years and a filmmaker in high school I could really appreciate the work that went into it keep up the good work!😀

Hi, which documentary are you referring to? I was part of one last year called “The Beatles: Across the Universe” but I’ve never made one. :)

I always knew about them but never really cared to listen to them. Then during this quarantine I started to look for psychedelic songs and came across Tomorrow Never Knows. Then after that I started to listen to them more and more and within almost two months I know almost all their songs! I wish I listened to them earlier though, but I'm glad I became a fan! They've easily become my favorite band

"The Beatles are sooooo overrated", some say.
Yeah, that's why we still talk about them half a century after they split.
I'm 53 now. In fact a bit too young for The Fab Four....if there even is such a thing as "too young" for the best band ever to walk this planet.
I discovered them at age six. That was in 1973. I liked "Yellow Submarine". Then I got the blue 1967-70 compilation for my birthday. First song out was "Strawberry Fields Forever". Then there were four LP sides of pure magic. It was a wonderworld I discovered that day. Still is. They still do it to me.
And the best thing perhaps - they opened up the door to lots of other great music as well. And there are lots of it out there, but they all stand on the shoulders of giants like The Beatles.
Love it when you youngsters recognize quality. Keep it up!

Please read Craig Brown’s book One Two Three Four The Beatles in Time.
It’s the best book on the band ever written and it’s extremely entertaining.
Love to know your thoughts in the book.

I am 51 yrs old but I discovered The Beatles when I was 11 back in the summer of 1980 before 6th grade. I accidentally discovered them by watching the Sgt Pepper movie starring the Bee Gees and then an uncle showed me the "real" versions on The Beatles Sgt Pepper album. Don't worry about feeling like the odd one out. Other bands will come and go but The Beatles will still be with us centuries from now.

The Beatles were the FIRST TO WRITE AND SING THEIR OWN SONGS, THEY INSISTED ON THAT! AND THIS WAS THE FANS REACTION TO THEIR SONGS. IT WAS AN OFFENCE IN RUSSIA TO BE CAUGHT LISTENING TO THE BEATLES, YOU WERE JAILED IF YOU WERE CAUGHT. WATCH THE RUSSIAN FANS REACTION TO THE BEATLES. AND THE USSR IN GENERAL. THE BEATLES CHANGED RUSSIA, and THESE WERE PEOPLE WHO COULD NOT SPEAK ENGLISH

My kids went through (and still are going though) the same thing where their a lot of people who don't like their tastes in music. Anyway .. music is the best.. and so are the beatles. Love your channel. Take care!

I grew up in the 60s and witnessed Beatlemania as it was happening. Let me tell you something. YOU are not the odd one for loving The Beatles music. Whoever ridicules you for loving The Beatles and their music is the odd one. And in 20 or 30 years The Beatles music will STILL be played but the Jonas Brothers and One Direction music will be nowhere to be found.
