I had the SAME look on my face when I first saw the machine myself. Nice drum accompaniment BTW. I don't know if you have seen it by now, but he has a couple videos where he explains how the machine works. It is basically a glorified music box, or an even closer analogy...a drum based band (carousel) organ.
On Wintergatan’s video where he lists his top 10 favorite musical instruments at the Speelklok museum, he puts the marble machine on that list as an honorary pick, and he labels it as a Hybrid Orchestrion.
Watching this spontaneous artistry touched me profoundly. Separated by oceans, you and Wintergatan shared, asynchronously, a collaboration that struck me beautiful and human. Even typing this it feels melodramatic; maybe it is. In between skepticism, violence and greed that fills the rest of our stimulus, we need more relief. Art matters. Thank you.

aaaaahhhhhh... Wintergatan. His StarMachine2000 video was awesome too. He does crazy stuff with music and made me discover new instruments I never heard of before.
Makes me wonder that Martin (he build the Marble Machine) had not found this video. I am sure he will love your reaction and playalong while having the first impressions.
Man never seen this before, is being mesmerized by it, talking, finding the beat, and adding onto it all at once. I am left in awe by the drumming, even more so than the machine but that may be because I've watched that machine so many times lmao.
I subbed because you have an actual passion for this instrument. You're hilarious and your facial expressions and skills show that you are so into this. So yeah. Thanks for making my day a little better.
God I remember this! One of the best things I've ever seen on twitch, or the entire internet, alongside your cover of Battle for Everyone's Souls (totally not biased)! :D
He did! Martin who made the machine made a video 7 years ago reacting to all the covers he could find for the 1 year anniversary and this cover is the last one he reacted to in that video =)
I was literally a click away from suggesting this myself when I heard it was up next in the live stream. your incredulity when people request these kinds of curveballs is honestly so entertaining (especially when you're the one requesting it. shout out to The Ballad of Jack Noir by Toby Fox)
Have you noticed the notes are stored with LEGO pins? The large wheels contain lots of black 15L liftarms. Four holes can't be used because they're needed for the screws, so there are 2 x 11 tracks for music information. At 2:49 you can see on the left a small box with Lego Technic Pins.
I just watch your channel because of the marble machine. I was watching it again and found that he reacted to your found it interesting and want on this channel. The drumming is great.
Love it!!
Nice to meet you haha xD

Never seen or heard, immediately finds the beat and matches perfectly.
ConGie-Personal It's about as easy as tapping your foot to music you've never heard before, but actually playing drums
But it's more than that. He has to recognize the melody and come up with a playing style based on that.
at start i thought its fake, but then i checked and marble machine video only was released 2 weeks before this, blew my mind.

Coming from a gigging drummer, it's not as hard as you would think. He did pretty good regardless.
That reaction, pure joy

Spacey Raptor Yeah, it's Sommarfagel. No idea if I typed that correctly.
Lorekeeper Ronan Almost, but that's because most keyboards don't have å on them. It's written Sommarfågel, which I believe translates to Summer Bird.
