Sode from the traditional lapel-sleeve grip was the first throw that actually clicked for me. Strangely, I picked it up from trying it constantly in randori, never did a single uchikomi or nagekomi prior to successfully using it in randori (granted, against much lighter opponents).
My hero Sensei Shintaro. 🥋 Judo is the most under appreciated martial art out here. It was created by Jigoro Kano and designed for self defense. It's very versatile and can be used in combination with any other fighting system. I tip my 🎩 to Sensei Shintaro. I just wish there was traditional Judo instruction in my area. OSU! 🥋
