You have to remember that Indian music is not based on Western scales. They are raaga based. They are more like the melodic scale.

@@ramseyvoicestudio actually Indian music is about correcting one Melody where western is about harmony so he is learned indian classical singer which makes him to give perfect notes fast or slow in any form but it have to be in full voice. I think he is a dramatic tenor. Edit as I am also a dramatic tenor in low notes my voice becomes dark in high notes it's like steel and have a bright texture to it.

He mostly sticks to a chest voice coz he's classically trained. And singing in a head voice is is rare in that style, it's a bit unconventional. And falsetto is strictly prohibited, hence most classically trained singers will be equipped enough to belt most the highest of notes only with chest voice.

it's probably the opposite, Indian singers use more mixed voice than chest voice, to make the higher notes prettier.

In subcontinent in both Pakistan and India, singers don't go into head register..... its just the style over here.... Singers here, especially Qawals go well over C5 in chest voice..... You are being warned, this region is known for its music, like west is known for science, this region, Subcontient has so much history in terms of producing great quality art.....In this region you will find so much variety in terms of vocal textures and genres like classical, ghazal and qawali that you will get addicted.... Qawalis are like musical opium.... Id suggest you to react to singers like Sonu Nigam, KK, Atif Aslam, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and also to Coke Studio(a musical show comes in seasons and episodes) songs like Rang, Rockstar, Khaki Banda, Afreen Afreen.....

@@S_N_ actually live performances have autotune too, & I was able to hear it sometimes, but however his pitch doesn't maters that much he's already okay at pitch without autotune I've seen autotune less performance of him he's okay, other than that he's very great at other stuffs

In Indian classical Music (Hindustani and Carnatic) you cannot use headvoice. It is prohibited to use headvoice so most of them try to avoid it if possible.

Arijit is singing his various superhits in a mashup format. The claps are put in by editors later before airing the award show. The performances rarely happen infront of live audiences for award shows. They are usually pre-recorded. But Arijit has a very versatile vocal range. One of the very best in recent times. Checkout Sonu Nigam and Shaan’s live performances as well!

Actually, in music of Indian subcontinent, Head voice isn't used.
It's mostly in chest voice singing and in few cases mixed.He's also trained in Hindustani Classical singing.
