Hey man, good job covering this. I installed it a while ago and it doesn't get enough love on youtube for what it is which is a very powerful tool. A lot of issues installing it on Mac due to Mac's excessive security features. The author of the plugin ended up making some bespoke hardware units which embed bluearp for some kind of live performance instrument.
Thank you! 🙂🙂. The track was released as "Blue Harvest", on an album called Digital Vegan. I've added some links to the bottom of the description of the video! Hope that helps. Thanks again. Glad you liked it! Appreciated. Have a great day!
You're so hillarious with names 🤣🤣😂😂 ! You're messing with them (viewers's brainz 😁😆) big time.😂 As always, beautiful coverage of BlueARP and wonderful content 🥰
Hi. I really enjoy your video on this BlueARP. I liked it so much that I am going to download it as soon as possible. I also appreciated you for showing us how to basically get a great start on experimenting with it in Cubase which happens to be the DAW that I use myself. Lastly I really enjoyed your final project that you shared with us. It sounded very nice. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us and I wish you continued success with all of your musical endeavors and your videos. I also wish you much more financial success as well. Have a wonderful day.
Thank you for such a detailed comment, very kind of you. Likewise I wish you all the very best as well. And thank you for staying until the end and hearing the final project! Really appreciate it. Thanks. 🙂
Not sure where the loud signal came from. BlueARP doesn’t output audio, so it can’t have been that. It must have been one of the VSTs connected to the MIDI out of the arp. Some synths have really loud outputs and if there was a velocity 127 MIDI note, that might account for it?
Thanks for comment, it was strange, the VST/Instrument Lane that had the instance of BlueArp was producing the signal, more like some digital feedback, and it would do it occasionally without any other VST-I open in the session. I very much suspect it is isolated to Cubase. I've had similar random occurrences with other plugins and a small amount of investigating has pointed at the VST3 Suspend Processing functionality. Some updates have resolved a few issues but I still opt for VST2.4 versions of some plug-ins as I get more stable performance. That said, I haven't been using BlueArp as much recently, still BlueArp is a great music tool. I believe there has been some updates for BlueArp? So I should maybe update. Thanks again for the comment. Appreciated!
use this to send arps/sequences out of the daw to my hardware synths works very well... one thing I dont have a understanding of, is that some of the settings on the right seem to be the same as the lanes on the right, but they must be for different I guess...
@@xisotopex Ah, if I understand correctly is it that some are global parameters and the others correspond to a particular pattern part? Other than that, not sure. But thanks for the comment. 'Nomenclature', great word, 🙂

Hey, I'm not 100% sure but will have a look when I next load it up. But on the left hand side under "ARP ENGINE", there is a section labelled "Restart On", is that set to "Beat 0"? It might be that?
Hi, In Cubase the midi can be routed to an external device. I can trigger my Roland keyboard with BlueArp by simply sending the midi out to the keyboard. I would expect this capability with any DAW? But can only confirm for Cubase. Hope this helps. What DAW are you using?
@@Shotty4HF I'm using Ableton .. I did figure it out and managed to route my Launchpad Pro MK3's chord mode sends to BlueArp .. really nice to have one-button chords trigger arpeggios .. can get a nice strum on a harp!

Hey, I have noticed this, and similar delay issues when routing midi to VSTs. Depends on DAW / Setup? It could be to do with plugin delay compensation? Or adjusting track delay time? I mostly record with this and then work with the midi notes. Hope you get it sorted! Let me know if you do! 🙂
OK, when I have this on my screen, how to have it make any sound? No start button. I think plugin win people when after opening them you can easily load a preset and make it run. This one doesn't.
Hey, what software / DAW are you using? With this plugin it is all about MIDI routing. It won't make any audio by itself. Create some MIDI (typically chords with sustained notes / legato), send the MIDI to BlueARP. Then route BlueArp to the instrument of your choice. BlueARP will create an arpeggio from the MIDI and send it to the Instrument. Hope that helps? Let me know how you get on.
@@Shotty4HF H, thanks for responding, Meanwhile I found out and got it working .😉As a critical remark, it would have helped when the video has started with the thing working 😉 (I found it intimidating and uninviting as well, and since it said 'sequencer' too I thought there should be a start/play button, but by now I realize sequencing within a DAW is a sport of its own, I came from standalone applications). Thanks for your kind reply.
@@fritsvanzanten3573 Hey, great that you got it working! Thanks for the feedback, I'll keep in mind for future videos. I mention setup later in the video around 4:25. Agree, it is a little intimidating. It can produce some interesting results. Also appreciate what you say about "Sequencer", as though it should have some soundbank of its own? I think the 'Step Sequencer' element of BlueARP is what makes it different from some other arpeggiators. Rather than just selecting pattern and timing, you can create unique arpeggios by modifying the step sequencer. I've found it useful for a few projects, but I don't use it that often. Glad you got it working! All the best. 🙂
@@Richard-Dong Sorry for delay in replying, so midi-out of BlueArp to Midi-in of VSTInstrument. OK. But then BlueArp lane would have to be armed for record and receiving midi from Keyboard? Hope that makes sense as I can't think of another reason it wouldn't be working. To trigger BlueArp from Keyboard ensure BlueArp is receiving either ALL Midi Inputs or specifically the Keyboard/controller you are using. Q~Does the keyboard trigger other VST Instruments OK?

A tie: the notes are tied together. That only works if they are the same notes. The tie makes them one note, double the length.
