Here you have to earn what you learn but it's more than worth it. Tom is a great guy & extremely knowledgeable. Put in the extra effort & you'll be more than happy you did 👍🐾🐾👍
Graduated last June and my business has EXPLODED! The skills I learned at TRS put me so far above local trainers, it's actually embarrassing how far behind my competitors are. If you end up going here and pour your heart and soul into it, I did and it's payed itself back several times over!
Which programs did you do and anything you didnt like or could have done better?

@@NateSchoemer I am looking at buying some of your books. Your method is like my personality. The science of the dogs psychology is what makes the behaviour it’s not just words. I have a 8 week old JRT Bully breed mix. Two types of explosives mixed together. I need all the help I can get. 🙂

I wish to have graduated from TRS. I am a big time follower of your techniques. I wish to have a doberman and 1 day I will definitely have a doberman partner. By profession, I am a tech guy, coder and more into computers, however, I love to be a trainer someday and see myself as a dog trainer. Thanks! Yes, my mic went out during filming, so all the audio was only coming from Tom's mic. The mic company that I'm using is replacing my mics, since I've had this issue a few times. Hopefully no more of these issues in future videos. Cheers! :)
Can you go into detail of the masters program and the service dog program? Also does Tom rose academy go into behavioral issues?
Throughly enjoyed the video found it very interesting the field you were on his typical of fields used by the public I would do most of my training there I went to a 5 day educational seminar in Orlando Florida back in 2003 APDT

I know this covers a ton of skills that you are teaching a dog but do you have suggestions for additionally teaching service dog skills? I will be owner training my standard poodle puppy (She is about 3 weeks old and still with her mom but I am SO READY to have her home, lol) to be a mobility service dog. I was an able bodied person. I trained 3 horses from weanling to under saddle and everything in-between and I have had dogs my entire life but I guess my training was just intuitive/pet level training with my dogs. Some were very smart and learned a lot with little effort. My current dog, Jay, a 15 year old beagle was not easy to train even though he is a WONDERFUL, loving, family oriented dog. Service dogs are so expensive that most disabled people can not afford one. (that is why I'm owner training. I had a spinal cord injury almost 10 years ago which ended my nursing career which left me with impaired balance and chronic headaches) I would love to have the skills to train a service dog for someone else who is disabled but does not have the money to pay $40,000 for a dog. I want to be able to pay it forward so to speak.
This school is excellent for all types of training. I've trained a lot of service dogs and I used the skills I learned at this school. If you want to be able to train service dogs, then I would highly suggest the Tom Rose school. :)

I’m 21, and in a place in life where I have a great job, and my job isn’t a 9-5... I work like 2-3 hours a day (4 max) outside of home and then write my reports in my home office so I have plenty of time. With this free time I’ve looked into pursuing the dream that I’ve had since I was a little boy, in becoming a dog trainer. Are there any facilities similar to the TRS that are based in NY? TRS looks amazing and seems like such a one of a kind experience.
I'm not sure if there's a school similar to TRS in NY. However, you can learn a lot by joining a local protection club. Links below. If you want to train remotely, then I would suggest Leerburg Online University. That's the best online school for professional dog trainers by a long shot!

Hey! Please help me out , my GS puppy is seriously sick he is two months old. took him to the vet but there is no positive change. His left side of the body twitches lot and he makes sound as if he is in pain .....please help me out here
I would recommend keeping your veterinarian updated on the progress and follow their guidance. I hope you're puppy recovers soon.

In simple terms, this school actually expects trainers to become very advanced. Most big box trainers dont move much past novice level, at least that I have seen.
Yes, this school demands a lot from their students, but in the end it makes better dog trainers. :)
