Super helpful video! I’ve had fender flares on my VA STI for two years. My quarter panels are welded and sealed but I’ve been really wanting to make fender liners. I have the abs sitting in my garage so hopefully I’ll get to it this weekend 🤞
hi, how do you fasten the fender flares to the actual quarter panel? i noticed you unscrewing things in the wheel-well but i have no clue how you’re making it secure i've been watching your rising sun project for the past 7 hours at the airport haha
@@brendleconcepts how are you doing that? is it bolted from behind or? i’m trying to figure out how you’re attaching the round rod to the quarter panels of the supra
The round rod is attached to a fiberglass base panel with epoxy. I made a reproduction "skin" out of fiberglass to start the process. That base panel is what you see me unbolting. That base panel is also what will be permanently bonded to the car after everything else is encased in fiberglass.
@@brendleconcepts i see, thank you! i’m planning on widebodying my c6 corvette, so i wanted to know how to secure the round rods to the quarter panel:)

Did you try a heat gun to confirm the ABS? Especially it the curve of the fender well where the intake is?
Where did you get your ABS?
And what thickness?

Great question! Everything will be permanently bonded. This will be molded to the body, no visible fasteners.

They sell it on Amazon in sheets. I bought a 4 foot by 8 foot sheet for a little over $100.
