lol I'm a blade bait fanatic too!! This fall I must have bought over 30 of them. Just trying out different colors, weights, sizes, etc. Bought some really tiny ones just for the heck of it (5 grams) and holy cow!! Caught some BIG fish off these little things first cast on two separate fishing occasions when the bite was VERY hard. Love em! Great video! Thanks again 🙂
Another fantastic video. Geeeeez Matt you must be running out of tips for all us anglers who can't get enough advice from you . Maybe you don't know , but your liked + appreciated by all of us . Keep your great very interesting videos coming. Many thank yous .
Back to finish watching this episode..... moved over to watch a couple Mark Fisher videos. Yep, liked, subscribed and following him. Thank you for this little morsel!!
I've caught Walleye mid July in N MN with blade baits. I haven't done to well with Bass. Next month I'll give them a try on Shell beds down on the Harris Chain. Another educational video Thx
Thanks for the tips. I don’t know why but once the water warms and I see the first bright green I put my lipless, blade baits away. I go right to swim jigs. I’ll have to keep some in the box this year going into spring and summer.
I always thought it ironic that back in the days when the book said to crawl a jig painfully slow in winter a blade bait that moves really fast even on short hops would catch them as good as or better than anything in cold water
I need that noise. I love the no lip. When you throw blades, you make sure they mimic realism like the life-life forage blade stuff for ice fishing....I forget the company. A lure that doesn't make noise like a blade is great 1. if it is real-looking 2. if you are fishing vertical. I wouldn't put it pass that. No on the straight retrieves. But eh, that's how I elect to fish. You do what fits you.

Very good information. I only use blade baits during the winter. I will try your other suggestions. Thanks for sharing.

I’ve caught a 32 pound and a 24 pound striper on a blade bait on 12 pound line and a medium light bait caster
Big ones!
Thanks for the tips and to your buddy's channel!

Go for it
I also love to use rattle traps in cold water I've always had good success
Same here!
One question please, do those double hooks also work for hard lures? thank you
Yes
That ABU Garcia hoodie looks like a hockey jersey on you.
I love it
About time u did a video i asked for lol good stuff Matt. What hooks are them?
Haha those are stock
@@MattStefanFishing are there replacement hooks to buy instead of traditional treble hooks?
Is the blade bait supposed to spiral or flutter on its way falling to the bottom?
Neither

All about the reaction
Don't have any blade baits yet. Don't do much cold water fishing. Very interesting though. Thanks

I friend of mine caught an 8 pound large mouth just casting it and reeling it in for white bass.
Interesting
👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks!
Have you ever seen bigfoot while fishing Matt?
Haha
I have....He was kayaking in an Old Town PDL 120.. Disappointed he wasn't wearing a life jacket, though
