THAT is what the Space AT&T commanders and soldiers look like, in the opening image? More cultist-like than the Word of Blake than I'd expected. Regardless of being the most technologically advanced in the Inner Sphere, having confronted the Clans during their invasion and being devout, those robed uniforms were simply impractical for infantry or any active military rank. Officer capes and swords, at least, are of much more rational design. The...lines, er, uniform dress on that lady shown after 8:30 is much more like it. The Com Guard's reliance upon the Greek alphabet for their ranks and titles is also confusing without a video such as this one. The...Tau? At least their rank insignias are actually more straightforward comprehensible but then I suppose the Greek obscurity was due to this military's existence's initial secrecy. Also, automatic, preset promotion in rank at age 25 - must be nice to be the phone company! There is more great imagery to accompany the details, like the couple of separate group shots of models along with the painted action scenes of big bots bashing. Ah, the crude, ground pounder 'humourous' word play to be had with the Focht academy. This entry was even further comprehensive over the technicalities of this specific military. A separate fashion show assisting to fill out this tailor-made organization built in secret is a segment no other faction has as yet had included. And so ends today's lesson on the solar system's most righteously indignant group. Don't cheat the future-space age telecomm or have rifles and autocannons stuck in your face, indeed. Despite being convoluted, I look forward to your explanation of the Com Guard's history to follow, GDN. Thanks very much for this latest in your series. 'Til your return and sign-on to BattleTech, have a healthy and excellent week.
For those asking... The first picture of Com Star is that of the 'public face' of Com Star. A group of semi-mystic, cult followers of the first head of Com Star, Jerome Blake. They presented themselves as barely literate 'religious' people that kept the HPG network functioning, and seemingly without really knowing how it all worked. Privately, out of the public's eye, they were highly trained, very intelligent, and sneaky as all hell. Com Star never 'lost' the technologies they had from the Star League, and kept vast storehouses of Mechs, Vehicles, Fighters, Jump Ships and Drop Ships, and even a few Warships, all in pristine condition for their future plans. Which, was to allow the Inner Sphere and the Periphery, to fall into 'techno-barbarianism' before they would sweep in with the knowledge and learning to 'uplift' mankind back to the stars... molding them in their own image, of course. Meanwhile, they hid in the shadows, using their monopoly on interstellar communications to read everyone's mail, and sending ROM agents to 'make problems go away', usually by assassination... or, 'Unknown Bandit Raiders'. It is really no wonder that the more 'fanatical' followers created the 'Word of Blake' sect. Twisting Blake's writings to mean whatever they thought he should have meant, and 'reading between the lines' in a manner that made their views valid.

Ahhh, finally. Some Comstar. Now that's what I call quality entertainment. I totally wasn't held at gunpoint and my family hostage to say that.

Much appreciate the addition, Frank!

Blake's Blessings to you and your cogitator Narrator, fine work.
Comstar! BECAUSE YOU HAVE NO CHOICE!
Space AT&T ftw! XD
A battletech comstar song
The Phoenix of the star league rises to reclaim it's throne
7 totems raced towards Tara where one will reign alone
Against them rising the Stewart's of technology's lost light
A hidden army entrenched and ready for the deadly fight
Stark white-painted war machines stand ready, All Eyes High
Await they're fearsome Brothers of three centuries divide
On Tukayyid fall fusion torches,
Coming battles sign
A trial of possession for the futures of mankind
The jaguars leap eagerly with sharpen claws
The cats heed sacred visions,
from the sky they fall
The sharks hunt for Glory
for It's true born kin
While the bear tramples through
the field yet cautiously
The vipers soon come
for honor and tradition
While the falcon sweeps down to uphold kerensky's vision
The wolves then howls back
against its enemies
While comguard braces themselves to extremity
The battle that has now begun is perilous for all
Comstar will serve the clan invader's should they fall
If the clans should fail to triumph with forces they have Bid
For a generation they'll will be halted the line at Tukayyid
The jaguars leaders fall in The gauntlet that they face
nova cats and visions turn to sabotage and change
The sharks survive due to Warriors Born Free
The bear endures and marches ever on
To victory
The vipers driven mad by mud and treachery
The falcon earns a draw through sheer savagery
The wolf's fight as a pack and bring down its prey
And although comstar won,
They are harrowed and maimed
So, it's has been;
One fight for honor, and one for Finality
Steel and man facing
down their mortality
For the are hardened Warriors that
Shaped the Galaxy
As they clashed in the
battle of Tukayyid
So repeating Stringstorm. Gotcha.
My favorite faction, they got me into this universe!
Great video 👍😊
Thanks.
I had a clan ghost bear character and we did the battle of tukayid for the ghost bears and my character was captured and he eventually joined comstar
So you got a tracking collar.
Blake be praised!
Pay your bill and be happy you live on the good side of Tukkiyad.
Infantry uniforms totally practical 👌 👏
Secular Comstar was so shit, no wonder it died two seconds after it steered away from Blake's plan.
Spaaaaaaace phone company...with guns.
Can you read the Gotrek and Felix main books that you didn’t read Road of Skulls City of the Damned and The Serpent Queen
At least they're not space sprint. 😂😂😂
HOTT-DAMM COM💫STARrrr!!!
Have you done the free worlds league military yet?
That's the one I didn't do yet and not sure when it's gonna happen either. I gotta collate info from 3 source books for it.
GET FOCHT CLANNERS
Translate this to English, for a good chuckle 😂
Ya'll are paid up on your bills right?😂
Comstar loyal, but devoted to Blake. Sabers suck. I'll keep my robes and broadsword, thank you.
Pay your bills bucko
Pay your bills!
Still not paying my phone bill
The one evil I can respect.
Truly a mistake to take these guys out. Not liking the turns that Catalyst is taking the Universe 😢
Never liked the introduction of this Deus ex machina
Comstar!!!! The zealots of the Battletech Universe. Never liked Comstar. Never!
Probably a wise attitude.
