Personally, i don't think there should be a "boss" in stickman trenches. Ww1 was about the men on the field for the most part, with tanks, airplanes, artilery and gas helping to break the stalemate. If anything, the "boss" level should be the level to introduce new weapons of war into the game where you fight against said weapon of war which you dont have access to it yet Edit: i just realised that this may not be sustainable for a longer game or once everything is unlocked. So i also suggest that instead of a boss unit, the AI is programmed to focus on different aspect in their combat AI. E.g one ai could be more offensive oriented by making heavy use of armour while another prefers a combined arms approach by using infantry behind tanks with aircrafts clearing trenches
Maybe as a boss you can make a zeppelin, or a tank, or maybe even an airplane, but if you are going to make one of those the boss, I think that they should be piloted by kaiser Wilhelm the II

As a boss it could be a General that could call in units and some tanks special abilities etc.
