CONTENT creator Genevieve, aka Gen, describes her style as ‘masculine’ and feels ‘naked’ when she’s not wearing a hat. Gen’s fiancée, Marie-Laure, has never seen her in a remotely ‘feminine’ look and is intrigued to see what she will look like after a fun makeover. With the help of makeup artist Coralie, Gen is being transformed into a Kate Middleton-inspired ‘sophisticated glam’ look and, as well as her fiancée, will be surprising her parents with the makeover.

I wish they would do something realistic like casual/elegant more than the formal gown elegant that you’d rarely wear in your lifetime.
Exactly, this was way too glam & really not the right style to try on her
They could have done so much . She would look so good in something she could have worn again like maybe a sleek Calvin Klein suit or a pretty one piece spring time jumpsuit . The outfit they picked out for her reminded me of something an older woman that is stuck in the 1980s might try to wear.
The whole point of "extreme makovers," is to dress completely opposite of what they normally would look like. I think ppl in the comments are missing that it's an extreme makeover show.

She's pretty in the after, but she is HOT in all of her before looks. Her comfort and confidence in her own look is so evident and nothing is as sexy as that.

I think she is beautiful already. And she has a good personality. I don’t like wearing dresses, either. I never have. I wore makeup when I was younger but now that I’m 63, I don’t. My husband loves me just the way I am. ❤
I'm the opposite, I live in dresses! Feels like I'm in jammies. And no matter what it's easy to look pulled together anytime, anywhere.

I could see her in a beautifully cut Armani suit, like Angelina Jolie or Julia Roberts. She could totally rock a feminine suit, and still be comfortably masculine too.

Beautiful, and I love the dress on her; however she has to make herself happy and I know from personal experience that if you try to be something you are not, you won't be happy. If she ever decides to incorporate things like this a bit, it should be her choice. Loved the little doggie also
That makeover was an extreme. The stylist had no middle grown. But it also depends on the objective. Did she just want to experience a transformation? Or Did she want to get a touch of feminism that she could incorporate in her daily looks? Because if so, going from cargo paints to a formal gown was not the way to introduce the receipt to a softer more feminine side of things lol. She looked great. But for one day I guess! That dress will not be worn again!
The only time my mother told me I was beautiful was when she was high on morphine and passing away. Before that it was I was morbidly obese (I was 27 lbs under weight) I was ugly , my hair was hideous, my teeth were disgusting….anything and everything was wrong in her eyes. I would have given anything to have a mother like this woman’s. It made me cry just how much she loves her child.
That's a tragic story, but am glad for you that she finally admitted how she really felt about you before she passed away. Idk why she waited until then, but atleast she shared that with you. ❤
Oh how sad for younger you that your mum didn't say nice things about your appearance. She must have been very emotionally blocked to only share her thoughts when she was passing away. Hope you are surrounded by people who think the best of you. And let you know it.
... I'm going to tell my kids when they get home how they are amazing and beautiful they are when they get home. I'm not a perfect mum far from it ... But can feed their self esteem tonight .... All the best take care!

Honestly, that didnt feel like much of a transformation. like they took the hat off and put her in a ridiculous dress. Definitely could have done something better to make the transformation more glamourous, but this woman is beautiful either way. Shed have looked great with a garbage bag

Where is the ball or wedding? This outfit can be worn just for those very special and specific occations. I thought they would do something different with her. A nice not to flowery sundress or something chick. Something she could see herself wearing or would have given her ideas to spice things up. Why cover the tattoos? Hair up and a simple but elegant etui dress or business ensemble with a midlength skirt maybe? Two toned flats and two or three matching accessories. Very feminine, but still bad ass!
They could have gotten a thick heel instead of a thin heel to Mahe her feel more comfortable.

I preferred the before look, the posh dress with gloves was ugly, even though she herself is naturally very beautiful. A normal casual summer dress look would have been a better transformation.
A more casual feminine look would've been a better choice, & maybe a little hair curl or up-do. The gloves & ballgown was too much. Beautiful none the less
