I've always been drawn to this Axial SCX6, but what really struck me about this video was the gracious elegance of your friend Chris and how he so freely shares this truck with you to test for all of us! Steady foams are definitely the way to go! You guys just need a Fine Laser Designs Clipless Hood latch to get rid of the body clips! Those two mods and a better servo are the top three!

I said it on your last video my only regret is that I don't have the honcho version! I love my SCX6, it needs some more love this year, it's so damn reliable all I've had to do was a direct power servo and front axles, and wheel hexes after the foams got super heavy from being wet

The $300-500 steering servo that is necessary is what kills it for me. If I can find a nice used one at some point, I might get one, but no way will I buy a new one.
Pro tip.
If you know you will have a unit at risk of loss. Use a retractable dog leash in those sketchy situations. If you are shooting a video cut off some of the lanyard and replace with fishing line and a clasp si that you can easily attach and detach as needed.

Awesome video and sweet rig as well. I myself love the scx6 and with everything vitavon makes for it including portal axles my rig weighs a tiny bit under 30lbs without batteries. Kinda curious why his weighs that much but seems to have less stuff. Or is that an estimated weight?
Just weight it and it is exactly 30 lbs. For one thing, there are two 5000mah 3s batteries in it.

@@bsfunk44 you are right in some sense but this is a 1/6 scale so it gives a bigger aggressive look, the 1/10 scale can be your Tacoma now. Love the knight runner body check it out
