I work with developing kids and although times have changed somewhat. I always tell my kids when it's time to draw "Let me pull out my hand dandy. NOTEBOOK!"
I just realized that it was Steve who taught me how to draw well for the first time. Without him I would've continued drawing very disproportionate shapes during my childhood (as any kid does at the beginning). Thanks to what I learnt with Blue & Steve, my friends at school said I drew well (for my age), that made me be more confident in my talent, and because of that I took more advanced drawing and painting clases, and that's how actually got good at it!
Unless Steve had some drawing abilities at the start of the show, it’s likely those aren’t his hands and he’s just narrating over someone else drawing.

in season 1/early season 2, the pages did had the standard 1/4 hole size, in early season 2, the covers were 7.9mm but the pages were still 1/4 inch sized
