Hey guys, while I did this video years ago I'm always up for improving it. I understand that I have mislabeled this project as origami when it is really kirigami. I am sorry for that. If you are interested in adding stems to the roses, the simplest way to do that is when you make the largest outer layer of the rose, place some heavy floral wire up through the hole that is left and glue it in place. I created a loop in the wire so that it had more surface area to hold the glue. Then place the other layers inside as normal. I add steams during this live stream - th-cam.com/video/kMNFubeiZ08/w-d-xo.html - Feel free to mute me and just watch what I'm talking about. :) My squares ended up being around 5 inches by 5 inches. I used a trade paperback book, which is normally 5.5 inches by 8.5 inches.
@@gitikasharma7187 You can! I just like using hot glue because it sets the fastest. With other glues you are going to have to wait a bit between each glue, else things might move on you.
instead of book pages, i used all my thesis paper which were rejected by my lecturer. now i have flower arrangement made from my suffering during collage for my graduation day🥰🥰
I just made some and they’re wonderful, thank you! I painted one with a mixture of black tea and coffee to make it look aged and burnt the edges of the petals on the other. I’m planning to make a bouquet of these for myself and some for my friends birthday. I’m also going to make some out of sheet music for my other friend’s birthday. I might even make a little flower crown or earrings, there are just so many possibilities and I can’t wait to make more. Thank you!
What a wonderfully efficient video! I had hesitated trying this rose because I thought it would be too complicated, but your simple demonstration wiped out my reluctance .... Thank you!
I hate cutting up books, so a good alternative for people like me is to type your own message to print out and do this kirigami with. :) I like writing positive affirmations for people I love and gifting them the final product.
I made them for a work competition to make a bouquet using recycled, repurposed materials. It's perfect and you're so nice for sharing this video. Thank you!
Clear explanation and steps. I did this for my friend because I couldn't get a bouquet during the lockdown. It was quick and simple and the flowers came out so well. Thank you for the video :)
Me too!! It's so annoying! Especially as a deaf person and no idea what is being said, since the subtitles are all messed up... love how she also puts the steps in text on the side of the video. More people should take a tip from her on how to make these kind of videos!
I have no idea why this came up on my feed but I'm glad it did. I'm on the board of directors for our community library, I think I need to snag a couple of our books that have been weeded out and make some flowers for our librarian.
I made these in cream, paper bag colour and a piece of scrapping paper in blues, along with burlap string flowers for my daughters wedding centerpieces. Used small ones on the cake and dessert table decorations. They were all stunning and made a beautiful and elegant setting for the wedding. Rented table cloths and chair covers and 40 palm trees and the room was a real hit for under 1000$. I would do again in a heart beat
one of my best friends made these and glued them to a pencil, bc not only do me and another friend like to read, but we write books and stories together. its a bonding thing we have. But anyways, she melted a candle that we loved to scent of,( and it calms me down) and poured some of it inside the rose so we can sniff it here and there while writing. It was also a very special book too. God i love my Friends lol. Just thought it would be cool to tell if anyone wants to do that too!! :)

Thank You for sharing it with us. I appreciate it really very much. ❤️
What is kirigami ???
Can we use simple glue instead of hot glue?????????
@@gitikasharma7187 Kirigami is the process of folding and cutting the paper into a desired shape.

did you paint it afterwards? Or before?
@@who3909 before would be much easier since you wouldn’t be able to get the insides
who asked
Bro what measures did you use?
Instead of book pages, i've use all my exam paper
that's the spirit
I'll do it too.
I’ve been thinking about this 😼
😅😅
Gonna do the same and then burn it
I'm joking abt the burning part

I graduated from architecture engineering major last year and have piles of sketch papers for my assignments. Now I know what to do with them 😏
Im so glad u even used the parts that was cut!!! Most tutorials just throw them away
I love these roses and the print on the paper make them prettier.
Love the roses!!! You can turn old hardcover books into purses. Lots of tutorials online.
Wow..!! U have not wasted a little piece of paper and this is quiet easy. I love it... Thanks for the best vedio
These roses seemed like a MIRACLE!... AWESOME!
I wanna do this for my fiance. I'm gonna use pages of a manga that we both talked and bonded over when we were still in the friendship phase:)
Clear explanation and steps. I did this for my friend because I couldn't get a bouquet during the lockdown. It was quick and simple and the flowers came out so well. Thank you for the video :)
I love that idea. I'm glad you found this helpful.
Did this for my mom last year and now I'm doing it for my aunt. Thanks for sharing this🖤
So beautiful, The print on the paper is making it more beautiful and interesting...
Love this so much and the fact that you get to it! Not a fan of how-to videos where people just talk and talk before showing how it’s done. 👍❤️

Sarà stato bellissimo l'effetto. Vorrei fare anch'io qualcosa del genere che sono alle seconde nozze ed ho 76 anni ! Grazie x l'idea
If it requires cutting, it is NOT origami anymore. It is kirigami. Two different practices.
Yes, you're right.
Wow I didn't know! Thanks for sharing.
Glad somebody said it.
Right✌️🤩

Thank you for this video! I'm creating this for my friend, it's her birthday on monday
