A few clarifying notes: - The full, official explanation of the incident (without my constant stuttering) is now in the description of the Triathlon video on JMR. You can also find the original audio of my explanation thanks to the user Prolapskaus. - While the quotes you used in the video are generally accurate (they are definitely not word-for-word quotes, for I am incapable of speaking that eloquently without a script), I certainly did not once in the 10-minute explanation use the word "intentional" with regards to Blue Eye's action. Whether or not Blue Eye showed any intent isn't really something that can be determined (because it's a marble), but even if we do look at the incident through the lens of Blue Eye showing no intent, that doesn't impact the ruling at all. The contact still resulted in pushing Rojo Tres off the course, and that was the basis for the disqualification ruling. Of course, players in real-life sports get penalized or even ejected for actions that were not intentionally malicious. - While I do currently work for JMR, I am technically not a part of the JMA because a particular black-and-white marble decided to effectively ban me from it. I still crafted the complete decision with the help of other JMA members through a different communication platform, though.
We all know that you guys all hate the Crazy Cats Eyes. Everytime they are going up against the Orangers for a spot you guys always do something to them to hold them back. I am done with the marble league until they are done with this blatant favoritism.
I disagree with the decision. Rojo Tres had taken a bad line, and for that reason had little momentum. Blue Eye was already moving towards where Rojo Tres was trying to rejoin, thus I think Rojo Tres rejoined unsafely. Furthermore, Blue Eye had the Indigo Star to think about, there was some, but not much space to the right.
Lifting the kayfabe a bit, I actually like that this decision happened. Part of what makes the Marble League fun IS pretending these are athletes and not just...inanimate marbles. So yeah, introducing elements of real sports, like controversial referee decisions, is great. ...putting the kayfabe back on, COME ON, Rojo Tres was already skimming the track border, and Blue Eye clearly just tried to get in from of them. The direction Tres took after the impact was in no way Blue's fault!
Alright, so here its mine opinion, being really, rojo tres divebombed into blue eye, leaving blue eye with only 1 way to end it, crashing. i am not someone that says oh no, i am fan of this team so i say its always right, well no. Rojo rollers and crazy cats eyes are 2 of my 4 favorites teams in the Marble League, this remainds me of F1 Max and Lewis crash, but, max was on other way. -Fans of CCE got mad about this. For me, i think they should restarted the race, cause the 2 only leaved with 0 and 1 points, really bad. but yeah its my opinion
10:24 I wouldn't exactly say there was a "wide spectrum" of reactions. Based on the comments on the Triathlon video, the viewers were virtually *unanimous* that the DQ of Blue Eye was clearly the wrong call. *Every* highly-rated comment discussing the incident was opposed to the DQ, and I wholeheartedly agree that it was wrong. There have been numerous cases of marbles being knocked off tracks (mainly in Sand Rallys) where collisions were involved (many far harder than this one), and I can't recall ever seeing a DQ come out of it. The marbles were both racing, Rojo Tres took a bad line that brought him into Blue Eye's path, and the two bumped slightly. Probably the best irl sports parallel is car racing: cars bump all the time and sometimes that contact puts a car into the wall, but drivers aren't disqualified for it unless something clear and egregious happened.
Most of the viewers who argued that it was the wrong call hadn't watched the incident properly. Many of them were claiming there was no contact, even though there obviously was. The decision was in line with the rules, so it was justified, even if some fans don't like it.
@@nathangamble125 However, you do have to admit that Rojo Tres was going pretty wild, and as Blue Eye tried to avoid, they collided, and the force pushed Rojo Tres in the opposite direction.
@Nathan Gamble you are baked if you think the call was at all justified. and ironic how you say they didnt watch the incident when you clearly didnt read all of the points wolfeson28 gave.
Obviously the DQ is super controversial but I hate that it has to overshadow an all-time great performance by Rapid. Also sad because he took away the limers spot in the finals 😕
I would argue that rojo tres hit blue eye after going too high on the twist. Blue was following the natural line, and contact was made with the front of rojo trees and the back of blue eye, meaning blue eye was just passing by and rojo tres did themselves in. I’m not trying to change the ruling, what’s decided is decided. Just think more could be considered next time.
They're honestly around the same level as the Limers. All are somewhat on the lesser half of teams hence why the limers won easily. Also probably is why they got stuck in a stacked group in the 2nd round.
My idea of the situation below: Blue Eye is on the home team, the Crazy Cat’s Eyes, with a proud queen Cleocatra watching. They’ve got a gold but are low in the standings. The Rojo Rollers are floundering. Just a bronze, an 8th, and only bottom 5 finishes to show for the rest. So, last. Blue Eye sees the last place team in front of them, led by Rojo Tres, and: 1) Does not want last place in the race, and less so against the last place team; 2) Wants to show superiority for Cleocatra. I think it was most likely intentional, as I noticed that Rojo Tres was already high off the curbs and that any bump would launch them away, and that there was an opening for them to instead move to the right to get ahead of the Indigo Stars, who probably wouldn’t be able to move in time. As for consolation points, it’s a race, not a track defect. That’s it. Sure, they do deserve a BIT of redemption, but hey, goes against the JMRC’s rules. Edit: Yeah, I’m a dirty Rojo fan, but no bias. Edit 2: Also I’ve always thought that in a situation wherein a competitor issues a direct attack which impedes another from further participation, which also results in the advancement/victory of the former’s team, a collective re-run should be called. Now here comes the question: is this re-run something that every contestant is in? That’s the thing. Let’s compare DNF to DSQ: In the event of a DNF, the team was unable to record a score/time in that round specifically due to there not being a score/time TO record. In the event of a DSQ, the team was ruled ineligible to record a score/time, however, they do technically get one, but it is nullified by the disqualification’s ruling of, again, ineligibility. It usually results in “cheating”, an action completely obstructing the rules of the game/event. So the DNF marble simply missed out on this time. Whereas the DSQ marble is no longer allowed to compete in the event, being automatically removed. The DNF marble should then compete in the re-run. But this doesn’t matter. It’s done, and we should accept this strange outcome. Hoping for no more lapses next time. Please?

As I saw that accident, and kinda fan of Max... I would rather say it's just an accident... Cause other racers can overtake on those turns safely... And they Penalised Hamilton for that so it's a Fair Game...
When a team, or a player, does something that gets him disqualified, the player that was affected by the action of the DQ should qualifying automatically, like in track and field. Even if there is 5 players in one race
What is messed up is the precedent that is set by the Rojo Rollers not getting consolation points. Suppose the following scenario. If the triathlon were the last event, with the title on the line. The CCE are at 100 points, Rojo Rollers are at 95, with 3rd place all the way down at 70. Suppose the event played out the same, but this time. Even knowing of the penalty, the CCE are incentivized to push Rojo Tres off the track in order to secure the 1st place ML finish.
I definitely think it was the wrong call -- it appears to have just been a bump, not a deliberate attempt to nobble a fellow competitor. This is more what in golf they call the 'rub of the green': it's unfortunate, but sometimes $#!+ happens.
I literally haven't seen anything past the wave event, so upon seeing Momo in first, I lost my shit. I spoiled myself, but now I know I can watch every episode and be happy about it.
Bingo was unfortunately spinning out and trying to regain control after hitting a wall. They were doing their best to stay out of the way. And ultimately blocking racers is allowed and encouraged. Blue eye tried to squeeze past and whether intentional or not did bump tres off the course
@@BlitzerXYZ yee which is why i would think the Refs would rerun the race since its not all that clear if it was intentional or not considering the speed blue was taking from drafting off tres and the fact bingo was blocking off blue..

they should've raced rojo rollers alone for time and compare that time to the other racers. ofc, they're the rollers so its not like they'd set a record or anything, but i'd be more fair.
Except a race alone in a not straight course is immediately at an advantage when compared to race with others on the track. They could have rerun the entire race but that would have upset people too. Because if we are being honest Rojo tres was coming 4th that race no matter what. It may or may not have helped them get something other than 15th overall.

And if something unjust happened then the party with the grievance should be compensated. By not compensating Rojo Rollers you’re effectively saying nothing unjust happened and they weren’t affected by the push. If they weren’t affected by the push then CCE should not be DQed.
That's just how sport works. Look at F1 for comparison - if you get taken out by a rival crashing into you, you don't get consolation points for it, even if the one who crashed into you gets a penalty for causing the collision.
extremely late ass comment here. i think its fun and cute whenever we pretend the marbles are people or whatever, but pulling down the 4th wall for a sec, this was a track defect. They should have made the sand path deep enough in that section of the race because bump or no bump, a working track wouldn't have the issue of a marble getting stuck on the curb there anyway. not only do possible bump mishaps definitely DO count towards the integrity of the track (because they're all just marbles at the whim of gravity and physics), but it was on a bend in the road. because of the defect, any marble heading straight towards the flank of it with enough speed could have gotten stuck, bump or no bump. really strange choice to pin all the blame on blue eye just for being there when it happened. maybe they thought it was funny? maybe they hoped rules controversy would give them views? 4 th wall or no 4th wall people still enjoy picking teams and cheering for them so it was a huge disservice to savage speeders fans to not at the very least give consolation points. :/
