  • 10 days in sunny Sozopol on the Black Sea - a lot of sun, beach time, unique architecture and swimming with the fish.

Hi, I am hoping to go to Sozopol in September 2020. I have a disability and I walk with crutches or for longer distances I use a mobility scooter. Does anyone know if Sozopol would be a good place for me to stay ? 😊

Sozopol isn't really that big of a place so you should be fine. Most stuff are within walking distance. You don't need a car to go places. The only trouble you may have with the mobility scooter is at some of the cobbled streets in the old town and some steep staired streets, which you will probably avoid. Other than that you would be fine to go everywhere. In general Sozopol gets very crowded during the summer months, especially July and August when it sees tourism by both the local population and international visitors. So expect lots of crowds, especially in the main market street where it gets quite packed during evening hours. September should see a significant drop of tourism though. Middle of September is generally when most tourists go home and air and water temperatures start to drop. If you want the ultimate beachfront experience, warm waters for swimming, lots of sun, etc. go in July-August. If you want less crowds go in September.
