Did you hear that from a son of a genius man.. i am a 17years old guy and i always watch konnected mindset because i want to change my mindset before my 20s. .keep up your good work bro.I wish you could interview McDan and Kojo forex
Chief we love Apostle Katanka. Don't focus on only the automobile. Use the Agric part of the business to finance the automobile. Scale up the agric part
The problem with most businesses in Ghana not going beyond a third generation is that most of them don’t even have board of directors while the business is expanding. Also the ability to change the business concept to meet changing needs of a generation is not there in most of these businesses.
For the first time, I have seen an educated podcast that can impact the thinking mentality of Ghanaians (the youth). Keep up the good work, we will keep watching and educate ourselves.
As a Brands, Management and Consumption head, with connections to many African countries through their people, Kodwo Sarfo Jnr, we can drive the dream. Let us see where time will bring us to the table of work
One of your greatest interviews. Wow! Enjoyed every bit of it. Apostle Sarfo could have been the Elon Musk of Africa. Unfortunately, we don’t support visionaries
I haven't completed the episode yet, paused at 37:18:09 to check what comments section looked. My first time hearing from this man. I will hold on. Let finish it.
Before I start to watch, I want to thank you first of all for bringing this incredible man to Konnected Minds to share his ideas with the rest of the world.
Brands encompass stories. KANTANKA is Africa's miracle whose meaning is in the deep. Not even Sarfo Jnr might experience the truism of Kantanka. I can see the value he is preaching. Just as China and the Chinese have waited for the Cherry QQ, let us not beat it down with our mouths. This is our X(s) of Africa. Let us keep it
I love this interview so much because of the kind of mindset our great guest possesses. This shows his foundational trainings from the great Apostle Kwadwo Sarfo Kantanka. I have learnt that education is the key. Thanks
I wish a lot of people will watch this. He made mention of a lot of sensible things and if only Ghana will listen and understand we will be able to change a lot of things. Thank you for this thoughtful mindset❤❤❤
One of your greatest interviews. Wow! Enjoyed every bit of it. Apostle Sarfo could have been the Elon Musk of Africa. Unfortunately, we don’t have systems in place to support visionaries. I pray that his son can have a twenty or forty year plan for the company.
To comment, Apostles son can make Kantanka automobiles the number one choice of most Ghanaians by expanding beyond the Central and Greater Accra area. There should be showrooms at almost all the regions of Ghana showcasing the cars they make. He should also look into having garage shops in most of the regions with trained technicians who can fix such cars. Also, he should look into sponsoring inter school football competitions/activities to help connect students with his cars. If should look beyond government purchases and connect more with the public. He should study Hyundai of Korea and how they have done a great job capturing their home market. Hope he has board of directors who can help with running the business. What about making the company public so others can buy shares in it?
These are amazing conversations packed with value throughout but if you failed to watch this one to the end, I would say you've missed a golden nugget .
Bra kojo u looking good Please I will plead if we can have one kantanka pickups in NKBs Campaign I am personaly in love with ur brand which is of a pure Ghanaian motive great business cars with Ghanaian Names
37:37 The name Kia is often interpreted as meaning “out of Korea” or “to arise from Korea.” It comes from the Korean characters “ki” (meaning “to rise” or “to come up”) and “a” (which stands for Asia). So, the name can be roughly translated as “Rising out of Asia,” symbolizing the brand’s origins in South Korea and its ambitions to expand globally.
Bro I work on cars at American as auto technician what my brother is saying is real we need to patronize our own I always said to buy car in America import to ghana I will bring the money to ghana and buy new kantanka
I am back after listening to this episode the third time. Chairman ( African Elon Musk) has set a high standard so hearing this man continuing from there I had to listen 3 times. I believe powerful things will happen.
38:14 The name Mercedes-Benz does not mean “mercy be on me Benz.” The brand name actually has historical roots: • Mercedes comes from Mercédès Jellinek, the daughter of Emil Jellinek, an important early investor and business figure in the company. He played a major role in the company’s success and named a car model after his daughter in 1901. • Benz comes from Karl Benz, the German inventor and engineer who created the first gasoline-powered automobile, the Benz Patent-Motorwagen, in 1885. So, Mercedes-Benz is a combination of the name of an influential business figure (Mercedes Jellinek) and the inventor of the automobile (Karl Benz).
This nager is not smart charlie. Everyday whenever I see katanka the kind of thoughts that flood my brains is not what he is even talking nearer to em.
Dear aspiring podcasters please take notes from Derrick’s interview techniques. In case you didn’t catch it here is a brief summary: 1. He researches the guests 2. Asks questions that haven’t been covered in prior interviews 3. Depending on the flow of the convo (determined through active listening) he sometimes “drops the script” and goes freestyle! 4. He researches the industry of the guests and ensures all angles are covered 5. He sometimes has a personal relationship with the guests but still puts himself in the shoes of the viewer to ask questions even if he knows the answer; seeking clarity where there is ambiguity 6. Again on the subject of personal relationship if a guest says something he doesn’t agree with he will probe for clarity and if the guest shares info that isn’t in line with his personal views he still allows them to share it as long as it doesn’t break community guidelines, etc. @derrick I am a new fan and evangelist! You will be seeing me in the comments section so get ready!

@15:45 To me that sounds more like a problem with extreme conservativism or traditionalism than culture.
That’s good question 53:16
The downside about manufacturing is that, they can't when make their own nuts and bolts. They should produce parts .
He said they currently have a car which costs around GHC 60,000.00 but did not say which of the cars.
