    Two things:
    1) That is some dedication. That's a lot of screws!
    2) What an impressive board! Super clean and no wires running down the middle of the board. Just super impressive wiring on an A/B amp.

When I first got into audio back in 1979 .That was over 40 years ago .Every thing had VU meters. The Radio Realistic Wattage matters,Their 5 band car equalizer amplifier .
Home 8 track and Cassette tape decks.I believe Macintosh started the whole VU craze .My Uncle had a Macintosh he bought in 1974 .He still has it .Along with his JBL L-100 speakers .I miss audio products that have VU meters .I think a lot of die hard Audiophiles do

A lot of people don’t know this .But VU meters were originally used for recording. When you would record a album or off of the FM station .When you were using a Cassette deck,8 track ,or reel to reel .
The VU meters would tell you if you were going into distortion while recording. You would use the volume of gain on the right and left channel .You would turn it up until it hit orange or red on the VU meter .The trick was to get as close as the red/ or orange without going over .Because if your recorded to low ,your recording wasn’t that loud .If you weren’t to far into the red/orange.It would be loud abs distorted.
I was really good at get a good quality recording
Also Jensen was the first company to make a triaxial speaker .Meaning a tweeter or midrange mounted on top of a woofer .
They were created the first 3 way car speaker .It was a 6x9 it was rated at 30 watts it was called the Triaxial .Then they made a 50 watt version that was called the Triax
Then they made the Jensen Triax Ii .It was the first 100 watt 6x9 car speaker .It looked really stealth like .To this day it was my favorite 6x9 speaker. They sounded amazing
      They had a 1 1/2 “ -2” voice coil
They beefy 20-30 Oz magnet on them
Back then Jensen speaker were made in the USA .Jensen used to be higher end speakers ,cassette decks and amplifiers.
They made one of the best 6x9’s speakers ever .At the time Pioneer 6x9 ‘s only handled 40 watts .Then a year later came out with a 60 watts max .Panasonic came out with a 4 way 6x9 at the time was a 100 watts
So did OAFS Kricket lol .They had a 100 watt 6x9 .With a lifetime warranty. But they went out of business in the 1990’s
It’s a shame Jensen doesn’t make good equipment anymore .Now they are known as a low end line .

@@wal2 Back in the day .I believe Jensen Triax II speakers were $179-199 a pr back in the 1984
One of the best equalizer amplifiers was the old Jetsound .Some of those had up to 60 watts per channel .I had the 35 wpc .It was a strong equalizer. It was built like a tank
Those equalizers were $149 back in the day
Sparkomatic made a really bad ass Equalizer booster .It was 50 wpc .It was big and heavy
I never had one .I saw one it had huge transformers in it .Other equalizer boosters that were beefy was Tancredi 60X2 .It weighed 4 lbs .FAS made a 60 x2
Sparkomatic at one time made a Biamp system that had the amplifiers in the speakers .They even made a subwoofer
I had the system .I lost it when I got divorced.Wife threw it away .It wasn’t that powerful. They we’re just IC amplifiers
      But it was catchy
I still a Jetsound 3 Band equalizer form 1980-1984 .I believe it’s 20x2 .If you want to amp Dyno it ?

@@ubeuonlyPyramid. Basically sound around, located in Brooklyn New York. Originally the first company to bring in Chinese garbage into this country and put stickers on the boxes. Whatever wattage they wanted. I remember they had those little equalizers with the yellow stickers all kinds of crazy wattage ratings on them what made matters worse is when Pyramid started buying up the name-brand companies it was not the same equipment it had the same name and was a lot less expensive but it was garbage.

Who would have guessed in 2022 that JENSEN would not only still be in business but claiming market share with their car amplifiers. Nice. Jensen made really good amps in the early 80's... Kinda got lost in the 90's... Nice to see them still today selling amps and speakers for cars. I had a pair of JENSEN 12 inch cabinets in my 64 Barracuda in 1975, hooked up to a BOMAN power booster. Fond memories of Jenses products. Sooooo many sets of TRIAX speakers installed..... Classic. BDBD/2022

So… I have an idea. Maybe you could either make a new channel or make a series on this channel… but it would be AWESOME if you did like a “what’s inside” version for electronics. Pretty much anything electronic would be great. Especially older stuff but if it has a board… I wanna see it! 😂 even if it doesn’t have a board… I still wanna see it. You have the audience and the equipment to make it happen. I think it would turn into a hit series/channel. You don’t need to explain a single thing. Just chat about whatever and film the guts! Nice zoom ins and slow panning. I find internals super interesting to look at and I know a lot of others do too. Even old computers. Maybe even bust open old hard drives and stuff. I know others have done it but would be nice to have a Big D version of it too.

They have always made decent products at a fair price and have never tried to be something they are not. They never made crazy claims and basically gave you what you paid for if not a little more. Maybe not the best sound quality but if you were that picky you weren't buying Jensen.. Good vid Big D.......

Jensen has had a lot of smack talked about them over the years. But they used to put a decent product for the price point. If you were on a tight budget and still wanted to make some racket, Jensen was a reasonable option. I don't know much about them these days, but I do have a 2ch 760watt Jensen from back in the late 90's and it'll still get down. I just put power on it for the first time in over 15 years the other day and it works just like the day it was new.

Jensen spent a good chunk of the amp's budget on non-functional bling. From closeup the board appears to be inexpensive one-sided phenolic. Curious to how it sounds.

100db noise floor says this is more than a budget amp? That's what I was looking for. Any dingdong can design something with power... but how quiet is it?
The manual says 100db which is right up there with the good amps at that time.
      .... if that's accurate.
Everything else panned out though so no reason to think its not.

    This is a rare item
It’s a Alphasonik PA 1060 lol .I bought it at a swap meet over 20 years ago
It’s a mono block lol .Or Mono amplifier
It is 60 watts per channel 1 channel
    It has 2 -35 v 2200 UF caps
    Made by Samyoung
On the rails it’s got 3 small transistors and
    2 big transistors per channel
I am thinking’s each output devices is 10 watts? Since there is 6 of them
It has a built in crossover that is adjustable from 40-100 hz .It has a level control
So you can boost that frequency up to 12 dB
It has a volume control and a on /off button
    It’s 6 1/2” long by 5 3/4 wide by 2” tall
It has heat sinks down both sides of the amplifier.I hooked it up to a Realistic wattage meter 20 years ago .I was pushing about 40-50 wpc .According to my Realistic wattage meter lol .I know those things are state of the art lmao
This is a cool little mini sub amplifier
If you want to amp Dyno it .Let me know
I been a audiophile for over 40 years
I owned a car audio store .I could get amplifiers you can amp Dyno for you
So I can help support your channel
