- Hey Guys,
Here is my R33 Skyline.
It is a 1996 Series 2 GTS25T.
It’s super clean and hard to fault.
Not only that but it hauls ass too!
It has a Garret 3071r, 6 boost manifold and a 45mm hypergate with screamer pipe.
Here is a short vid taking it for a drive!

I've had myR33 s2 for 18yrs! Very fun drive, useable back seat and boot! From when Nissan could sell a Porsche nemesis to Joe Average! Too good!
Mate I couldn’t agree more. We use it all the time as a car to mix things up. I’ve had the pram in the back, 2 baby seats. It’s epic!

I also owned an R33 S2 in 2010 with a HKS 2835 pro s and all supporting mods, it was a beast and an amazing car for its era. Easily the most well balanced, responsive sports car I’ve owned. The car is so light that simple mods make it quick
Mate would have been sweet with the little turbo on it. Definitely would have gotten off of the line well!
I keep telling myself I’ll sell it but it keeps not happening. Haha
@@flipcarsnotburgers not much difference with a 3071 Garrett, it’s just HKS rebrand them and improve the spool time. Had grunt everywhere in rev range . Blew away many big displacement cars in bottom and top end 😉
I had a S2 GTST back in '04-'06. Easily the most fun sports car I've ever owned. They make all the right noises and the RB25 is solid. RB25 + external waste gate is perfect.

@@flipcarsnotburgers From memory I paid 20k which was toward the upper price point back then. It was a pretty nice example. Been trying to track it down for years :/
Crazy to think that back then it was at most a 10 year old car!
Mate get into one before they get too expensive...especially (in my opinion) the series 2. I love my car.
@@fcukugimmeausername I paid that for one this year. Super clean but insanity. Always wanted one so I had to pay covid tax - which is extremely annoying. I almost bought one for 6K last year but passed up, man I am regretting that after the amount I spent (and it has major issues already, been off the road for 6 weeks LMAO)

How would a 6 boost mani go on a stock 25det? And what turbo would u recommend running
Ive never built a stock motor up from scratch mate so I'd be lying if I told you I knew how it would exactly change performance, but it is certainly an upgrade! When picking a turbo, you have to consider fuel systems, exhausts, ecu as well - so do you know what you are doing there?
The 3076 size turbos get a great wrap from people with RB25det's. My new turbo is a Garret G30-900 and I love it. I will make a video of it driving soon for you.

Hey dude, yeah I think so. I haven’t changed the gate size on the same car to test it but cars always sound different, so I’m presuming it’s gate size, exhausts and turbos making it different.

Hey man! It’s on adjustable Coilovers. It depends what you use the car for. Stock suspension has its place as well.

Hey Dave, thought I’d get your opinion. I’m looking at a neighbours 96 R33 GTST S2 making 306rwkw on e85 and 270 on 98, extremely clean, body has 160,000kms but engine only has 20,000kms since being built stronger. Has genuine GTR wing and Interior (front and rear seats). Got resprayed 2 years back also. Not much history on the car, but the current owner I know is fussy with cars like I am so he’d have made sure it was good (it’s his 3rd in 15 years). He’s after $40K which for the work that’s already been done and the cleanliness, it may be worth it. What are your thoughts? Cheers

Does the standard plenum and intake interfere with the high mount?

@@flipcarsnotburgers With the setup you have, if you ran the standard intake piping, would the high mount be in the way. I was thinking of going high mount eventually but keep the standard intake manifold and piping, if it would fit. Ive got a neo in my 31 with front mount cooler.
Had a closer look at mine today, and looks like it would be in the way, would have to change the pipe where it goes over the covers and forward. Cheers

In my experience so far, the knee pads are kind of just a novelty. I’m about 6ft tall and don’t really notice them in the car too much. I just found them and thought it was something cool that was Nismo to add to the car.
Yeah, I agree. 33 gtr seats are cool. I haven’t really sat in many but I’m planning on doing some basic interior tidying up on it anyway that will entail a retrim of the front seats anyway.

That modified intake is really bad in terms of air flow. Chinese copies of greaddy intake are readily available and probably cost less than modification job. They require fitting work though
Yeah I personally much prefer the look of a plazmaman or whatever too.

Basic theory is that some cylinders get more air than others, leaning them out. In this case 6th cylinder should me most leaned, means running hotter. Though your tuner probably countered that by adding more fuel for 5-6 cylinder
Hopefully mate...need to get this bad boy on a dyno in the new year and make sure she’s groovy.
Is it hard to get skylines in Russia?
@@flipcarsnotburgers we have opposite situation to common wealth over here, skylines were legal almost immediately, so we had them in the country for 20 years and they are relatively easy to get and cheap in comparison, but they really used up. One russian km goes for 50 japanese. Cars from auctions are like new to what we have over here, though they are illegal to import for last 10 years.
I've just swapped mine to stroked rb26 with n1 bnr34 twins and 270/270 camshafts, dyno showed 480whp@610tq :3
