Aye can u do Death Around The Corner by 2Pac. It samples the same song as Picture Me Rollin but different parts of the song. The sample is Winter Sadness by Kool & The Gang
I always liked the vocal in the background. It reminds me of Raekwon's Verbal Intercourse with Nas and Ghost. I used to have the David Porter vinyl record. It's one of the best samples in hip hop history. Ghostface Killah Strawberry is the best version in my opinion. I love that beat.
I love your channel! It was very interesting learning each sample of a song and its break down. By the way, could you do sample sessions on Bobby Valentino slow down, tell me, Omarion ice box, Jennifer lopes I'm Real (both original and Remix) and jazmine Sullivan holding you down?
Sup Morr Eddie, added all your requests to the request list. Omarion's Ice Box isn't a sample and both versions of "I'm Real" are interpolations that, (in the case of the "Murder Remix") can't be replicated. The rest are added :)
You know what... I would have agree. The cadence is the same. But who knows? Puff does a lot of vocal interpolations. Also, that beat is BANANAS!!! May have to do an episode on this. Sample is crazy.
What's up Krayzee Kidkat?! The vocal sample is still there. "As long as you live a breathe... I love you Dave.... Live and breathe...". Hope you enjoyed this episode of Sample Sessions. Do please check out other episodes of Sample Sessions and if you enjoy the content, please subscribe to the channel. Would be much appreciated.
I remember reading a story how DIddy was mad they couldn't remove the dialogue out of the sample. I think the best they did was to take the left channel and copy it to the right channel to minimize it.
@@BDaManTheRapper Bro... I didn't understand the intricacies of production... the effect of having certain audio in one side actually increases the production quality (my opinion)... it's fascinating.
@@DJObiSmalls It took me a long time to understand that aspect myself. It wasn't until like four years ago where I really got to understand how intricate sampling can be in that manner. Another example of that is "Poppin' My Collar" by Three 6 Mafia. I was watching a video on the Songs & Samples channel that covered it and it was pretty much that main loop, but switched between the left and right channel of the original sample! It blew my mind, dude lol.
I think she wasn't a rapper but sings over Hip-Hop influenced production because monica samples it in "anything to find you," which is a sample of a sample because volleta, biggie's mom was allowed to keep lil kim off the song despite biggie's track sampling David porter so technically David porter could've overrode both of the samplers' wishes like when manu dibango sued both Michael Jackson & rihanna over a vocal interpretation. David porter is still alive btw in his eighties.

Black Rob sampled the “I love you David” part on a song with Puff on his first album

Can you do Flava in Ya Ear Sample and its remix if not, that’s ok
Unfortunately, Flava In Ya Ear has no direct sample. Easy Mo Bee got the inspiration for the beat from "White Lines" by Grandmaster Flash
Ok that makes sense
@@Darthpool2016 All good. On the flip side. Episode 150 contains "Flava In Ya Ear" being sampled: th-cam.com/video/JXoUNxGGh44/w-d-xo.html

Unfortunately this track heated things up in Bad Boy Deathrow conflict
A girl rapper did a song with this sample but I forget his name, can you tell me if you known it
Meg Thee Stallion?
No, older
@@excelssior8343 hmmm. Will check it out and get back to you.
