It’s been a little while but from what I remember the sway bar was making it harder to adjust because it was trying to keep the control arms flat like it was going around a turn. So it was just to make it easier to adjust one side at a time.
Wow! I’ve got the 3.6 V6 with a manual. 2017. It had a bad coil on cylinder 5. Replace that and it was better, but not great. Took it to a different dealer and it ended up being $700 to repair the wiring harness that was rubbing against the engine for some reason. That solved my mechanical problems. I’m so sorry about yours. I love mine, and it’s got 85k on it now.
Oh yeah wiring harness damage is hard to find. I do miss mine, keep enjoying yours, from what I read my problem was a 2.0 problem so you shouldn’t have to worry about that.
You definitely don’t have to take of the skid plate or anything. It’s kinda far back there in on the crossmember. I found it was way easier to see after I drive the car up on a pair of 2x4s to get some clearance.
I thought it drove great. It may have been a little firmer but didn’t seem too harsh…at least not in my opinion. And you can always turn down the damper adjuster to make it softer than I had it set too. Highly recommended.
As an Camaro SS owner this was a very good install video. Sorry about your car man. These are great cars but LTG is a huge step backwards from the LNFs & LHQs of the previous generation of Ecotecs. You can do all of the correct maintenance according to GM and they'll still blow up. They were made to save money and nothing is stout in them. They are straight garbage.
Thanks, I appreciate it. Yeah the car was great aside from the engine. I looked at a couple ss Camaros after this video to replace it but with the kind of mileage we put on the daily I couldn’t bring myself to pull the trigger. I definitely miss the camaro, current daily works but nowhere near as good….but the engine does still run.haha
Yeah I guess I should have seen it coming trying to daily a turbo car. Based on what all I read about the engine I actually let the car go to move on to other projects. Thanks.
I’m trying to adjust the the coil over to be a little bit over the top of my tire about 1.4 inches from stock. However my sway bar doesn’t move so when I adjust the coil, the bolt hole moves to high for me to insert the sway bar. How were you able to adjust to a low fit?
I don’t remember having any problem with that. I think if you set both sides ride height equally it should match up. Worst case scenario you could probably get some aftermarket sway bar end links that adjust. The ones with spherical bushings add to the effectiveness of the bar too.
welp thanks for the video, sorry about the car. I'm installing the ZLE suspension on my SS 1LE and this video was very helpful.
Thanks for watching! Glad I could help.
Excellent! Thanks man.
You're welcome!
Fantastic video!
Thank you!
What’s the reason for disconnecting rear sway bar link during the adjustment?

What engine was this??? Was this the 2.7 liter turbo 4??? Sure a good looking ride.
It was a 2.0 turbo 4. Thanks yeah in my opinion one of the best camaro body styles.
Just curious where is the jack point in the center? Do you have to remove the skid plate to access it?

Haw its drive whit this suspension firmli or normal

Will the install process be pretty similar for an SS? Just want to be sure, thanks
Yeah it should be almost identical. The only time it should be much different would be if you had the mag ride suspension I think.

Rip. Sorry about the engine, hope you get it fixed soon

Keep pouring videos on it 2.0 i Have one to soo I would like to have the 4-cylinder camaro owners to be something to talk about too
I would have kept it and done a stronger build for the engine but have too many projects going on already so I had to sell her.
