Yea, I still don't hate Rigby, this video was just to show how bad of a friend Rigby was to Mordecai. They are both not good friends, but they still have each others back, for the most part.
@@corentinravel5299 considering majority of the time it’s Rigby getting Mordecai in trouble via dragging him into things and the fact Mordecai actually became a better person after leaving the park (IE he stopped hanging out with Rigby full time) I say it’s Rigby being the worse friend because his antics never gave Mordecai time to work through his own issues. My evidence for Mordecai being better without Rigby being around all the time is the fact Mordecai was able to have a stable relationship that lead to marriage and 3 kids.
Rigby didn't had many friends(other than Mordecai) due to his insecurities, jealousy, laziness and selfishness towards but Mordecai was his first and only friend. Overall, they still remained loyal friends to the end.

Basically what we learn from the movie makes everything that he done even worse, basically with full context this means that not only did he trick Mordecai into getting this dead-end job with him but the only reason why he was able to get into the dead-end job in the first place was because of Mordecai and even then he still acts like a scumbag to him and anytime he is in a bad position he'll do everything he can to bring mortdecai a down with him if not somebody else. I will admit he did get better in the later Seasons but the fact that he was even like this in the first place basically makes all the episodes where he's the victim completely justified as Not only was he just a horrible friend to Mordecai but a horrible person in general.
Okay yea when you put it like that, it is pretty bad. Rigby was sending people to the moon and trying to kill Mordecai with the death punch even though he is the reason why Mordecai is stuck at the park
While Rigby is the worst friend, he had the better redemption and growth. May not excuse all his transgressions but he changed. But Mordecai idk maybe it's because I've had friends who acted like Mordecai when it is why he leaves a sour taste in my mouth lmao love em both tho

He was a chump and a bum in the beginning seasons and stopping mordecai from going to college he became an L man but i guess in the end they both have better lives then when they started atthe park
Rigby has definitely redeemed himself, while the show is mostly about Mordecai and Rigby daily lives at the park most plots involve Rigby learning some kind of lesson or taking responsibility at the end. Both in-fact mostly everyone at the park helps Rigby grow and so does Eileen, she was probably the best person for Rigby
Yes I agree wholeheartedly. When I was rewatching old episodes, I realized that Eileen was the best thing that happened to him and the show. We got to stop focusing on Mordecai and his relationship and see a healthy relationship with both trying to be the best possible person for each other.
Fuck his development he's still a terrible person even in the last seasons he still does selfish stupid impulsive shit until the second to last season the onky reason he couldn't do it in the last season was bc they were "saving the world"
In Rigby’s defense, the only reason he took up Death Kwon Do is because he was fed up with everyone around him pushing him because he’s smaller and significantly weaker, especially by his so called best friend Mordecai. Whenever they play video games, Mordecai always gets to be player 1, not even once giving Rigby a turn. When Rigby calls him out on it, Mordecai decides they settle the argument with Punchies, meaning whoever punches the other one the hardest wins. And what’s worse is that it isn’t the first time he’s been through this. Mordecai is fully aware that he’s stronger than Rigby and would win against him every time they do it. Not to mention Mordecai continuously abuses Rigby throughout the course of the series. So you can’t really blame Rigby for wanting to put Mordecai in his place and finally beat him at the one thing he can never win at.
While Rigby was most certainly the more immature and harmful of the duo, I find Mordecai to be the type of friend that actually ends up being worse than Rigby. All Rigby needed was a patient and understanding person who didn't make him feel like a failure for not being as good at certain things as others. Eileen brought him out of that, but it's clear that Mordecai was never capable of that. Mordecai himself is also very immature, but he's also fairly abusive. Very little of the time are his actions in physically hurting Rigby or teasing him in some way a reaction to what Rigby did first. Most of the time he just says something stupid or annoying, or simply wants to be treated with respect. All this did was cause Rigby to stew in his manchild-like behavior because no one would actually support him. Mordecai, meanwhile, is only seen as the better friend thanks to Rigby. Mordecai is the type of person to keep a friend around for the sake of being a punching bag to make himself look and feel better about his life. Without the punching bag, he actually has very little to offer, and his flaws shine through.
There are times where even mordexai himself gives right good advice that he isn’t entirely useless but sometimes uplift rigby’s own insecurities in a good way.
