We were in Hawaii April/May cruised from Honolulu to Vancouver, 3 nights pre cruise, Hawaii was amazing, vibrant colours, friendly people & the show HA Breath of life at the Polynesian centre was thee most wonderful show we’ve ever experienced, Tony you should definitely go!

Keep in mind it's a bunch of sea days before you get to your first port, so have a plan for what you're going to do before you get to Ketchikan. I liked it enough to do it twice (so far). For cruises out of San Pedro, CA you're primarily looking at Princess.

Tony and Don, ONLY Carnival sails out of Long Beach; the port in San Pedro, World Cruise Canter, is the primary port used by all others: Princess, Holland America, Royal Caribbean, etc. A few years ago, Carnival purchased the old dome which once housed the “Spruce Goose”, and converted it into a cruise terminal which services short 3 and 4 day cruises to Mexico and Catalina Island.
Tony you can find tripleta in Tampa or when you visit Orlando they are many Puertorrican food truck, Kissimmee have the world of food truck with many Puertorrican and Spanish food selections
Thinking about the price increases, I'm with Don in that I've wanted to go on a couple different cruises this year and next and ended up not doing it because the value isn't there for me anymore. I got into cruising post-pandemic when it was one of the best vacation deals around. Cruising can still sometimes be a pretty good value for people who live near enough to a port to grab last-minute deals but it may be years before I'm on a cruise ship again if prices don't settle.

Long Beach is carnival. San Pedro is Princess and Royal. San Pedro best hotels are Doubke Tree and Crowne Princess. Both are great.
Vancouver. Cruise Port is right there.
Do either of you guys ever take Norwegian? Do you two book balconies or inside cabins? I love being able to have breakfast on the balcony.

I have listened to Michael and Nancy who are on world cruise and they said one of thing about the excursions stops are to short.
I follow them too! Such a great way to make our own travel bucket list, but yeah some of the port days are mere hours
NCL has ships built for cruising Alaska. The Encore is their biggest and was built with heated outdoor areas and a big observation lounge

Glacier Bay: major cruise lines: Princess, NCL, HAL, Cunard. If you can see Hubbard, it’s spectacular. Or College Fjord on NBound Princess
